I think Presscott had issues with it alright.

Yes, he gets a certain amount of abuse for being British Asian and not denying his roots.

However, that doesn't the change the many uncomfortable truths that have been spoken about regarding his pro-career

Some people do sure, but I think he gets hate for being overhyped, which is a bit unfair, cause he seems like a decent kid, if a bit cocky, but too much hype will make people hate.
Nothing to do with religion for reasonable people.

I meant extra hate, not just hate in general, i understand many find him arrogant and a twat but i seems theres a lot of people who want to bring up race all of a sudden, but what does that have to do with anything? Im just wondering if it may be some may give him extra hate for being a muslim.

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article956706.ece

the practising Muslims dont like Amir Khan

i myself didnt like him for being arogant, and having a laugh with the british army, the same british army tht shud just leave the muslims in afghanistan and iraq alone, and he is being overhyped.

yeah he must have. what other reason apart from a platform to the big boys and paying off for all those years of hard work could he possibly have to beat him?

No, the total opposite, that's why he's so overhyped, because the left-wing ultra liberals that run the media love it that a Muslim is being seen as a "British" hero. I've always resented him because he gets so much attention because of his race and religion and not for his boxing skill, which certainly doesn't herald such hype.

I guarantee you that James DeGale doesn't get the same hype and he did better than Khan at the Olympics and looks far more promising than he ever did.

In past experience, it's only ever been his fans to bring up race when his "haters" are expressing their views.

I was just watching the fight on youtube and the comments were largely british and very racist, so I say yes, definately so.

You use Omar Bakri as a marker for the views of the typical Muslim?

Get a clue, I'm close to being done with this forum after some of the stuff I've read tonight

I'm sure there are small-minded people out there that give him **** cause he's a muslim, or Asian. But most people in Britain like Khan, he's very popular here.
