Does Khan have a China chin or did he just get hit by a really clean shot?.....

ok so we all know now that Amir Khan got KTFO in the first round. does that mean he has a china chin or that he just got hit by a clean shot by a big puncher.
any fighter will get stunned if he gets hit clean by a knockout fighter. i think the main problem was that after khan got knocked down he tried to fight as soon as he got up and he exposed himself while he was still hurt. if he tried to just survive the round by moving around and defending himself while trying to get his legs back i think he could have lasted longer.

i personally think he underestimated his opponent. with some improvement on his defense i think he can be world champion.

Combination of an utterly appalling gameplan and a weak chin.

the limond and gomez shots were decent but not great

    especially the gomez punch.

khan got hit by a temple shot and it totally ****ed his equilibrium.

many fighters have had weak chins before and recovered like nigel benn, but benn had great recuperative powers and khan simply takes 1 min to shake off the effects of a punch .

and against better fighters 1 min ,is 50 seconds to long.

Oh, jeez, I was wondering when one of these sorts of posts would surface! OF COURSE he has a glass jaw! That's why he got rocked by a jab, and starched in a round. That's why his management put him with with NOTHING but carefully-selected light-hitting fighters, chosen specifically for their low KO percentages!! And even THEN a couple of those guys had this china-chinned wonderboy on the canvas!! :patsch

Yet, when all the signs were there that this guy was a glass-jawed HYPE JOB, still there were doubters, those who said these were who said it meant nothing.:nut

And now that the verdict is IN, and it has been PROVEN that Khan's chin is every bit as fragile as most of us thought it was, there are STILL naysayers, still those who can't recognize a china chin when it shatters right in front of them!! :patsch

No, "any" fighter does not get down by unproven fighters with padded regional records - GLASS JAWED hype jobs DO, however! :yep

He's chin is absolutely ****, but he's young so its not over for him yet. I bet when he's had 50 fights and he's approaching 30 year old, fighting at 140lbs or 147lbs, he'll be a beast. He has a great offensive game, but until he is physically capable of taking a shot he'll never be world-class.

I promise you this, there's way too much money invested in him for it to be over at 21, so he will be back. 10 fights against British super-featherweight non-punchers in the next 18 months, and after that stick him in with someone like Katsidis or Romanov. If he fails his next step up in class then its looking bad, but he has another chance yet.

Oh I have little doubt they'll try the same formula again after they glue his porcelain chin back together - pad the record with a bunch of light-hitters and then put him in with someone decent.

But I have NO doubt that as soon as Khan fights ANYBODY who can punch, even a bit, he will get starched again. Like someone said, his chin isn't just glass.....it's BELOW glass. :yep:lol:

stupid question. It's been evidenced multiple times that he has one of the weakest chins in the game. it was just more spectacularly exposed this time.
    It's absulute GRADE A CHINA.

Great punches that put him down, no doubt, but the jab that rocked him to his boots says it all. Eggshell-thin chin.

This question was answered when Khan was dropped by Limond. People just think having a gold medal and great skills automatically makes you a special fighter. Khan and Audley should move to China and guess why. If you ever believed Khan would go far I have a bridge to sell you.
