I have never seen Kotelnik fight and am curious as to if Khan can put on a good display as he did vs MAB. i know mab was old but i thought that barrerra would knock his glass chin out and didnt. what about this fight. whats to expect?

He has a chance.....if he keeps the fight at distance and protects his chin and uses his superior hand speed ...however there is always the chance he may get hit on the chin and that is fight over

I don't know how he will get on against Kotelnik, but I can tell you this - Nothing can be taken from his win over Barrera, nevermind saying Barrera was old, how about he was ****ing blind! Infact, the only thing that fight did prove is that Khan hasn't got the power that he, and many others wrongly proclaim that he has; he couldn't even hurt a much smaller, old, faded blind man!

Yes,he is faster and has better power.
If he hides his chin good and works on a solid defence and a in and out gameplan he could make it onesided just like with Barrera.

He's got unrivalled hand speed, he's quick on his feet, he's accurate with his punches, picks them well and can put combinations together, of course he has a chance.

He's faster and his skill set overall trumps Kotelnik. I'd say he has a good chance. Kotelnik is a good fighter but of the champs at 140, he's the most beatable.

I really think Amir Khan is going be THAT fighter. The one everyone wants to lose but somehow never does even though you can see how flawed he is. Basically a fight god puts on earth to pester your faith as a boxing fan.

    No he won't.
He;s featherfisted and that's why he is chosen.

Lol. Kotelnik has 0 (zero) chance to win this fight. Khan is a new world champion. I'm putting my life on it.

no hes not, hes not a big puncher but hes far far far from feather

kotelnik is very strong at 140lb, he gave witter hell and in fairness probably got the win/draw but was cheated in england

hes a very tactical, tight fighter with strong basic skills. i think khan will need to stay at range and with speed if he gets in close, he will be in trouble. he could be tempted in closely by kotelniks high guard though

I hope Warren comes through with another sweet undercard. That $25 for Khan-Barrera was some of the best value for my dollar in a long time, regardless of the disappointment of the cut. This one should also be available on PPV in the US

True he ain't feather fisted but he certainly ain't more than an average puncher. He has very good handspeed and excellent counterpunching skills, good defense, decent leg movement but he is tailor made for Khan IMO.
That doesn't mean he can't win.

He has a more than good chance to beat Kotelnik to the punch and win a UD.
Kotelnik is nearing the end of his solid career. I believe his management wants to put him in a/some high reward fight(s) to fill their pockets before he's shot.

I hope a double knockout will happen in this fight.
