Does Khan realize he's a light welterweight? Will he ever fight the elite 140lbers?

I mean, since that cherry-picked fight vs Paulie, we've seen Con linked with Juan Diaz, Juan Manuel Marquez, Joel Casamayor and Katsidis. Now all of these guys are lightweights. Casamayor is shot, JMM is faded and Diaz sucks and has no power.

Now the only one of those opponents I would not mind is Katsidis, and perhaps not surprisingly, the Katsidis camp wanted it, but received no offer, this was smoke and mirrors.

Why does Con stand centre ring after the Paule fight basically saying "bring on the big guns" and talking up a tournament between himself, Bradley, Maidana and Alexander. Just a week later, HBO got a straight "no thanks" reply from GBP and Team Con about this very tournament. :rofl

Schaeffer says they want to go a "different direction" with Con. I presume this direction is avoiding the elite at 140, and feeding on older smaller men. It's a shame, a real shame, but I fear GBP/Roach understand Con's limitations and the plan is to cash out on him in a few years.

Let's not forget that Frank Warren had fights with Bradley and Maidana pencilled in (both confirmed by opponents managers) only for Con to dump Warren to go to GBP for apparently "bigger fights."

Well, GBP quickly paid of Maidana, and chose Paulie, for "American exposure". Is it a coincidence that Paulie is one of the most feather-fisted guys in boxing history? I think not.

So we got the usual from Con, just like after Salita, Con said the very same "right, now it's time to fight the big guns - Bradley, Alexander etc", yet only a week later we now learn he's fighting the JMM-Diaz winner.

Does this guy realize he is a 140lber? Will he ever face the elite 140lbers? Con is the most coddled and protected fighter in the world today. His career is smoke and mirrors, it's all a mirage. He continues to take the path of least resistance.

do you think khan has the knowledge and the experience to get into a fight against alexander or bradley yet? hes only been on the world stage for 5 minutes and you say he is a con. give him and goldenboy a chance, they will get him the big fights soon enough, when his rep has been built up a little bit more.

Man I admit to this guy time and time again. I even said Khan isn't ready for Bradley or Alexander. Even Schaefer said it.

So many people think he's not ready. Just sit on your chair HomoJerome.

    That HomoJerome is a fool.

But coming from an Audley fan it's no surprise.

you know what annoys me? posters whose sole existence on a forum is to troll a specific fighter. Like, who does that? What's wrong with these people?

That's true, his chin won't. We all know that.

But we all know that under improvement he could become a much better defensive fighter and win fights like Bradley and Alexander in the future, don't you agree?

So instead of being a hater like in every Khan post, why don't you post something positive.

I dislike Khan. I don't like him at all. But man, give the kid a little time. If he doesn't face a legit top JWW in 2 or 3 fights from now I'll bash him like everyone else. The sad part is when he fights Maidana like everyone wants and schools him, people are going to sound even more stupid.

he's so young, and with ****** fans who consider fighters 'ruined' after 1 loss its no wonder boxers take forever to make the big fights

Do you think the fight with Paulie improved Khan as a fighter much? Khan is expected to beat up Paulie. We know Khan can box. But when you don't have to watch out for your opponents power, you don't have to be on your A game and can make mistakes and get away with them.

No but as a debut fight, you gotta admit he was the perfect opponent.

    Big name in US.
Gave HBO BAD it's highest ratings so far - Fact
    Sold out the arena.

And they're looking at Maidana, Katsidis, or JMM next.

Note - All punchers. When the JMM-Mayweather fight was made, people were saying JMM would crush Khan at any weight - Go check out the older posts on this site.

They WILL test Khan. Khan is ahead of the likes of Calzaghe and Hatton in as you say 'padding' their records.

The guy doesn't even recieve an ounce of respect. I mean come on, he might not have a chin but to have come back and win a title.

And the one thing the HBO commentary said when the Paulie-Khan fight was going on that the only thing Khan could prove is that he has A Grade boxing ability and he proved that by outboxing him.

Even people that don't like Khan admit that he get's too much criticism for his own good. People are right, Khan will be the type of person that no matter what he does he'll always be criticised for it.

I actually like Khan, and he does have a bright future, but he does need to protect that chin.
