Does kovelov experience against Hopkins give him a unique advantage over a potential ward fight? That is to say many of wards opponents have never faced his unique style where as kovelov style is more common.

Ward is ten times better than the Hopkins that fought Kovalev. And Hopkins and Ward are good friends so if anything the advantage is going to Ward. It's a serious test for both men but it's the best fight in Boxing outside the Flyweights.

I have a feeling kova loses his head vs ward when he's not able to do what he wants

That implies kovelov thinks ward is easy work going in. He said it will be a difficult fight.

Over any of wards opponents. He can land and will, and he's punishing.

He has this advantage, the only way to beat Ward is fight like a mindless rampaging re**** like Bika did, and if pure boxing like he did against BHop can't get the job done, Sergey The Barbarian will come out, and he'll win brutally that way.

Honestly ward looked to have good pop too. I see him landing hard on kov more than a few times.

Ward will be shy of countering which is a great strength of his. Wards defence is great but he also get hit. People talk about how great Ward is at controlling the distance but Kovalev is very good himself and he is deceptively fast. Kovalevs power is a real game changer and I expect it to take Ward off his game plan.

I see ward shelling up, trying to survive, and losing wide on points. He has enough power to make Kov think twice about stopping him. Wouldn't be surprised at the stoppage though.

Ward will need his greatest performance to win.

    He's to disciplined.

John David will have an excellent game plan. If Ward gives him the head Kovalev might step up the aggression but it will be educated.

Kovalev is just too much for him imo. I'd like Ward to do it, he comes across like a great fella so fingers crossed.
