When Langford met Johnson ,he was 23 ,and could still make around 160,would he be able to outmuscle the Nigerian ?
Outmuscle? No. But could do well enogh in exchanges without getting knocked about to much that he could pick up a decision in my view. There is a poster for this one in the fantasy posters gallery by the way!
Langford might knock Tiger out. Bob Foster did it. Langford knocked out bigger men than Tiger. Langford was reckoned to be clever and a monstrous hitter. I read somewhere that Jack Blackburn reckoned Sam Langford would've beaten Joe Louis. Impossible to say really, I dont guess much on fighters I cant see clearly on film. But from Langford's reputation I'd say he might well blast Tiger out.
