:| :| :| :| :| **** me! There's only one person I can see whining and crying like a little ***** and it sure as hell ain't Clay! Clay, I'm sending you one huge high 5 for getting Langford-Jeannette out of the grasp of the hoarders! :good :good :good :good :good
I seen the one HEGrant took the credit for, that may be the same POS version on youtube, I don't know. But the one I seen looked fine to me. So if a POS youtube version of a Harry Greb fight turned up ...... you wouldn't insult your eyes by watching it ....... yeah right! Not only has Clay got a book onto the market ...... he's prepared to share rare footage. That's two things he's got over you ......Bwwaaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaahhh! :rofl :rofl :rofl
That may be but he will never have another snippet of footage from me. Hes working on a book about Miske now, I wonder how badly he would like to see Miske vs. Dempsey... In regards to his book, I always found it odd that he spent about two sentences covering arguably Langfords most important win and a fight which at the time he was one of the few people in the world to have viewed. My book is taking a long time because I dont intend to drop the ball like that. Regardless of whether you find it funny that its taken a long time to write or not.
Come on then Klompton ........ get Miske-Dempsey up on youtube for us all to see! :bbb By the way, that was a pretty bizarre rant you had at Clay ..... you could hardly expect to elicit any sympathy with what you wrote and the tone of it. You must realise that all you did was make yourself look a bigger ***** than usual ..... and elevate Clay in probably everyones estimation!
If you think that somehow elevates Clay then so be it. We didnt have to let Clay even see the film, otherwise he would have never known it existed. Oh well, Ive learned my lesson. Now, about that Langford-Hague film.... Im still waiting on some stills of that fight film...
And for those who doubt my story about Langford-Jeanette: http://s1184.photobucket.com/albums/z335/klompton/?action=view¤t=vlcsnap-2011-03-09-09h45m08s44.png My copy looks a tad better than the one on Youtube no?
Ive shown mine, now lets see these two posters who supposedly have Langford-Hague post something. Otherwise I call bull****.
I haven't seen the one on youtube unless it's the same one that HEGrant put out for people to watch. He said he got it polished up, slowed down, whatever else by his IT guy. The copy I seen looked pretty good. But if it makes you feel better that the version I seen, and what everyone else has seen, is inferior to the version you have ...... then go fill your boots.
klompton, raging bull, greatA and others paid for those films with good money and hours of effort spent on physically acquiring them... They have the right to keep them and release them to the public as they see fit. Obviously I would like to see film of Dempsey-Miske, but what right do I have to demand that from these guys? Those films are their property. I would hope that these men try and digitize their collections for preservations sake simply so that they can stay viable for future generations... my point is that we should be greatful that these guys release any of their collections. For every guy like GreatA that uploads his stuff on YT there are many many many more that keep them in vaults, unused and unwatched(like ESPN's collection). For all we know out there there's film of Greb-Tunney out there under wraps in collectors vaults and it'll never be seen.
I have to agree, what a man does with his property is his business. Id like to see all the films we talk about ,but I don't have the right to demand a viewing from those that may possess them, and neither does anyone else.imo.
Boy all of those guys who supposedly have Langford-Hague really ran for cover didnt they? Not a word...
I meant to say Langford vs. Jeanette. Sorry--I have been a busy man lately. Sorry to hear your film was exposed. No doubt Kurt N ( won't post his web site here ) is advertising it now and will charge a premium for it! Since you seem to have a nice collection, would you be willing to tell us what you have? No stills are required. Your word is good in my book. I will send you a PM on Langford vs. Hauge.
I do not understand why anyone who has a copy of such great boxing films would hoard them. It's incredibly selfish ... there is not money in it and it deprives the hardcore fans a tremendous piece of history .. the second Medoza turned me on to the terrific Langford - Jeannette I wanted to offer it to all and he agreed .. if this behavior exists it is short sided and sad.
