Loads of people in the media saying that Purdy has a punchers chance and that Alexander may struggle to to hurt Purdy because he doesn't punch that hard.

I know stats aren't everything but this stat is quite interesting:

    Purdy - Total Fights 24 - Knockouts 13
    Alexander - Total Fights 25 - Knockouts 13

Pretty much identical yet Purdy is a banger and Alexander isn't?

I honestly think that Alexander is going to make Purdy look stupid at times in this fight.

I'm pretty sure Lee Purdy punches hard enough but doubt he's gonna be able to put a dent in Alexander who's been in there with guys like Urango,Matthysse and Maidana.Alexander isn't a bad puncher himself his power is underrated imo but his skills are what will win him this fight,he's a class above Purdy.

I dont even rate Devon all that highly but he is a class or 2 above purdy, cant see anything other than an alexander unanimous decision

Also worth pointing out that Alexander has been in with far superior opponents then purdy and still has almost the same ko percentage. Purdy is a nice kid and I wish him all the best, but he's has got no chance in this. Vassell and Gavin are both better then him imo.

He can dig but not a 1 punch KO artist which would be the only way to win v DA. He's not going to land clean on DA to cause any problems.

  6. Not really, if Matthysse and Maidana couldn't stop Alexander then Purdy has no chance

  7. devon has a very good chin , Purdy has a chance but a fluke one only

I expect him to get outboxed silly and prob stopped latter on

Not really, he's a decent puncher at domestic level though.

the only article i have read on the fight was that its all against purdy and it would be a massive shock if he was to win.

Alexander is a world class fighter who while not a huge KO puncher can get his opponents in situations where he does real damage look at the Urango KO walked him into an uppercut and lifted Urango off his feet.

Purdy is a huge under dog i would think Alexander might take a look at him for a couple of rounds and then go try and break him down for a mid rounds stoppage. Hopefully Purdy can find a hail mary of a short and take Alexander out but its unlikely off past form.

Hes lost to the best 3 guys hes faced and Alexander is a level above them

Purdy couldn't even land anything significant on Colin Lynes ffs.

    Nay chance.

I had lost faith in Alexander but he looked class vs Maidana. Maybe he needs that type of fighter to look good...I reckon he'll look good on Saturday and cruise to a points win - Purdy is tough enough to last all 12

He looks more like an attrition fighter rather than a one punch knock out fighter. I think the reality is that unless he can get the guy to engage him, he isn't powerful enough to have you on the edge of your seat until the final bell.
