Does Lennox Lewis not fighting Bowe the second best HW from his era ruin his legacy?

By getting beaten by Lewis in 6 rounds?

Maybe a bit outrageous.. but I believe that many will see LL as the best HW in the future. My kids certainly will.

Obviously not according to how rated he is on here. Personally, his safety first way of boxing ruined how much I rate him as a boxer. Boring tho not as bad as the Kilts.

Bowe's manager tried to make Bowe an Ali type figure. Blame him. Lewis ducked Klit.

 

Yes a 31 year old Vitali, with over 30 fights, a world champion for over 5 years - Green indeed!!


And Vitali looked in great knick after the fight, I can see why Lennox would need to run away, because he barely had a scracth and Vitali looked like something out oif the Saw movies.

But I suppose that if Vitali had won 4 rounds of a scheduld 12 round fight according to some guys at ringside, that is far more impressive than beating a guy's face so bad the he needed over 50 stitches and a doctor to stop the fight for his protection.

I'm no great fan of Lewis, but Bowe simply would not fight him.

Not giving Vitali a rematch as promised tanished his legacy more than anythng. I still have not heard a reasonable excuse as to why he backed out other than the lame "I've been there done that"
