Riddick Bowe the second best heavy from his era?

    That's bollocks. Evander was, clearly.

Tyson has to be ahead of Bowe too, he was a 5-time champion over a decade apart and took a belt off five champions. Whereas Bowe only reigned a very short time and only beat two champs.

It doesn't matter anyway, Bowe threw his belt away on TV so's to avoid Lewis. He will forever be the ducker in that potential matchup. Lewis KO'd his ass for a gold medal aswell, he definately had nothing to prove, nor did he lose anything not facing Bowe in the pros.

Only person ducking was Bowe, Lennox had already whipped Bowe in the Olympics. Both Bowe & Rock Newman knew who the better fighter was :deal.

Bowe let Newman roll the dice on that one and came out looking the worse for it

Bowe had one shot at beating Lewis, when he was still focused and Lewis a right hand happy, reckless banger - unfortunately Newman saw the pot of gold, a few easy defences and then fight Lewis anyway once Lennox had racked up a few wins.

I'd say the Lewis from the Morrison fight would beat the Bowe from the first Holyfield fight.... for me that was the best of the two men - alright, Morrison wasn't any great shakes but Lewis just executed him in style.

Bowe had a ridiculous amount of heart though, that's something that a lot of people forget. Pretty much forced Golota to quit twice, despite being way ahead.

Hell No, Lewis would've ****ed him up if Bowe didn't duck him.

It's more on Bowe that the fight didn't happen. Too bad too, it was the best match-up out there in 1993.

    Yes.

    It ruins Bowe's legacy.

But really doesn't matter much because had they met Bowe would have been humiliated.
