I had to edit this, as it was a bit nasty, but I came to my senses

And i do believe ya too. Unbelievably many people in Australia STILL didn't know exactly what Lewis was about. The friends couldn't wait to lay down the bets, they thought i was stupid. Went to the pub with a mate i'd bet against, he's about 5'11, 255 and used to play A Grade Rugby League for the Gold Coast as well as box pretty seriously and bounce. Whilst he didn't follow pro boxing real close he sure knew the game. He was always immensely impressed by the mean fukkers, and loved Tyson. He was quite excited as Tyson started ok and landed heavy early but proclaimed sooner than anyone the point at which Tyson was stuffed. It was quite a good afternoon at the local!

I take back calling you any names.

You know me well enough to realize that I don't mean half the nonsense I say.

I don't want to get in between, but i wish to reply to this bit.

I think Lewis' prime was from 1994 all the way to 2002. Yes, i have a wide definition of 'prime'. I think he was at his PEAK in the second McCall fight.

But what i really wanted to respond to, is this part:

It's a very interesting point you make.

    Why?

Because you have the assumption that a fighter cannot lose in his prime. Why not? A fighter can come in less than fully prepared during his prime (Duran vs Leonard II, on in this case, Lewis vs Rahman I) and can be very good but far from a complete fighter in his prime (Lewis vs McCall I).

Now i understand why you insist on Holyfield being shot in the Lewis fights. It's the only way you can accept them? I fully accept that Lewis got knocked out twice in his prime.

You missed the point. I was talking from the perspective of Lewis fans when I said " he couldn't be in his prime. "

No it isn't. Now you're making assumptions regarding my views. Do you not feel that Holyfield was shot against Lewis?

I explained to you before, a shot fighter does not beat top10 ranked contenders.

So no, i don't consider Holyfield to be shot for either of the Lewis fights.
