iv not seen many of his fights perhaps the jamie moore fight and another 1 against this finnish fighter, does he have enough punch to hurt or even stop sturm? likewise could u see sturm stopping macklin?

It's not just punching hard, it's actually being able to land shots. Sturm's high guard is still impressive and I'm not sure Macklin has the speed or skill to counter from Sturm's great leading jab.

Body attacks are probably where he would have most success but I can't see him doing enough to get a win.

Power wise- I don't he's up to much really. There's a better chance of Sturm stopping him imo

Old Castillejo badly hurt Sturm although that was a few years back.I think Macklin can hurt him but will most likely lose a close fight imo.

If Macklin batters the body throughout the fight and Sturm slows down and gasses late on I guess he could stop him. But I just can't see Macklin having all that much success landing his punches, so it's unlikely.

Even if Macklin does catch Sturm with a hayemaker early, I don't think he'll be able to do an Asakainen on him.

Macklin is pretty explosive imo, not a massive puncher but i think he has enough power to hurt quite a few fighters out there, probably wont get a chance to land too much on Sturm though.

That Sturm is ****ing ****? I do. Koji Sato was handling him until a lucky punch and bad corner stoppage.

I really dunno. I havn't thought greatly about this one, it doesn't really inspire me I've got to be honest. They both kind of bore me. Sturm with his robotic style and no power, the Germans lapping it up cheering every jab. Macklin...I don't know what to say about Macklin, to me he's such a generic fighter and I'm never excited to watch him despite the Moore fight being a blinder.

I do think Macklin has a very solid chance, I'd probably favour Sturm by 60% but won't be shocked if he gets stopped.

Im taking Sturm by wideish decision, i doubt Macklin will get past the jab often enough to trouble Sturm.
