    Wake up, Toney!

You´re still seeing something in Asikainen, that just ain´t there.

Asikainen´s ONLY world-class ability are his powerful counter punches. He can knock out anyone, but against world-class opponents it´s pretty difficult to do well by only seeking the KO shot.

There aren´t many guys in RING rankings that could fold like an accordion, in the fashion that Asikainen did in 7th round against Gevor. That is NOT suitable for a top fighter. Asikainens chin is poor and his age is starting to catch up with him. This means, that especially in british soil, he will become Macklin´s victim.

And no, I don´t think that Macklin will be a world champ, he is nothing that special. Technically he could be actually described as quite poor from the top perspective. But I don´t think that Asikainen ever has been that special either. Finns tried to explain the first loss against Sylvester via neck punches and corrupt referee, but what happened against Gevor? Almost the same thing - Asikainen being destroyed by a mediocre puncher. And that time, there were no major cheapshots, and the judges actually favored Amin.

All in all, in term of world-class, Asikainen is nothing but a big puncher. His power favoured him once in Hannover, but no lucky shot has emerged since then. He has been exposed.

If you get utterly ruined by punchers like Gevor and Sylvester, it´s hell and high water against Macklin.

Im Afraid Mackling has serious chance to win Asikainen not on points but stoppage... Asikainen just has lost his punch resistance, it never was very good but it is not much much of a left anyways..

Mackling is not ever going to be a world champ, Asikainen just will be a good scalp in to his record. He is taking Fading Asikainen on just about right moment.

Asikainen can sure still knock this guy out cold...
