Compare pacquiao resume against mayweather's - its no contest.

Mayweather's is a joke. Pacquiao haters/doubters tell me a boxer in the last 10 years with a better resume?!?! They aint one simples.

Pacquiao is an hall of famer, top 20 of all time fighter yet people disregard his achievments because that's the 'cool' thing to do.

He's achieved a great deal, but Mayweather is the greater fighter.

Head to head, possibly although we'll never know for sure. I think the Pac that beat Hatton and Cotto would beat Floyd but like I said we'll never know. In terms of accomplishments which is the best way to judge a fighter, he is superior to Floyd.

    He's not superior in accomplishments.

Yes he is, and by a decent margin too. Barrera is a a better win than any of Mayweather's and so is Cotto who was not weight drained despite what the haters would have you believe. Hatton was the number one 140lb fighter at the time and Pac fought him in his best weight division. Again, something the haters ignore. Mayweather has some solid wins, and his wins over DLH and Mosley are better than Pac's against the same guys but Pac has wins over the likes of Margarito, Morales, Clottey and a fight he should've won against Bradley. The first two Marquez fights were close, but Floyd has also had a couple of controversial wins. Floyd's record just can't match up to this by fighting the likes of Guerrero and Ortiz. All he has over Pac is the 0.

Pacquiao's latter career run gets a bit overrated, but equally his earlier career tends to be forgotten about, which is a shame.

For me, his finest hour came when he absolutely minced Cotto, was an unbelievable performance.

Throw in his wins over Barrera, Morales and being competitive x3 (because he wasn't in the 3rd fight) with Marquez, who is his worst nightmare stylewise makes for a bloody good career - before you even consider anything else.

It's a bit different to being taken the distance by Robert Guerrero, or Carlos Baldomir..... and was DLH/Hatton any more shot than the Gatti who Floyd feasted on?

Without a doubt he ranks higher than Mayweather for me, Hes a lock top 20 ATG. Mayweather is a better fighter, but his career will always have a what if? next to it. As he avoided some stern challenges

Since moving up in weight? You realize he started at 112? When Pac moved up to his 7th weight class, the other top 5 welters were Mosley, Cotto, Marg, Clottey. He routed them back to back in 18 months. Who were these live guys he skipped out on, Berto and Aydin?

Some of the fighters in the list such as Hatton had already been destroyed by Mayweather, also De La Hoya and Mosley were Mayweather victims. Pacman was a great warrior but far from infallible. The fact he had been stopped twice earlier in his career meant he could be stopped again. Every time they fought Marquez proved he was the better man.

Just because a guy has been beaten before doesn't make him irrelevant for the rest of his career.

Mayweather has only faced two guys who were undefeated at the time he fought them so should we just dismiss his other 42 fights.

I have never said Pacman was irrelevant just that he has always had his flaws. I am not like Bob Arum who at one time was claiming he was the best ever which he clearly was not or ever was.

By me he does, yes. I don't think he does from everybody, particularly casual fans but I guess that's understandable.

If Floyd thought he could have beaten Pacquiao he would have fought him.:deal
