Would the heavy-fisted Rocky Marciano ko the comparatively easy to hit Sailor?

Oh for sure, I think. Fitz, Maher, Ruhlin, hurt Tom but it would be a hell of a fight while it lasted.

At 5 foot eight he'd have been a fat little ****er then.

He most certainly could, and must be favoured to do so, but there is always the danger that Sharkey (with his maniacal method) might just shred Rocky's brow, target his throat or duplicate Ezzard's nose-slicing trick.

Rocky might be forced into a bit of a crisis.

This. Plus it would also be interesting to see how the Rock handles a fighter this strong and hard-hitting; a man he can't back up.

I think Rocky would become just as easy to hit as Sharkey in this one due to styles. Marciano and Sharkey, toe to toe. How fun is this?

You can't just make up new weights for people. They had heavyweights then, and they have flyweights now. People (athletes) in general weigh more now, but that doesn't mean any particular individual would weigh a certain factor more. Just put him in a (hypothetical) time machine and give him the fight as is.

You obviously haven't been following this board closely.

It has been proven here that the effects of gravity have increased over the decades. What was once a 5-8, 180 pounder would today be the third Klitschko brother.

I think Marciano would very likely KO Sharkey if either were time machined into the others time. I also think Marciano would have likely KO'd Sharkey if either had come along in the others time and developed, with respect to the opportunities of that time, in proportion to how they had developed in their own time.
