    Agreed.

If Margarito is able to successfully bait Pac into exchanging land clean shots on him, (which is how he's going to have to win) the glove size won't make much of a difference, imo.

Nobody forgot what Shane did, but some here are considering all the circumstances surrounding that night, not just the plaster paris issue its been reported Margarito came into camp very heavy with only six weeks to make the limit... that in itself spells out TKO Loss.
Then you have the plaster ****, which more than likely took Margaritos mind off of the fight, and more thank likely more focused on what the out come of that would be...
And finally nobody really knows if Mosley was clean that night or not.... Either way even at 37 Manny ducked a fight with Mosley, Roach said Mosley was too good.. Now consider this Mosley is bigger than Pac and stronger meaning he had what is needed to make it a rough fight for Margarito in pushing him back to the ropes and making it his fight, he also hits harder shot for shot... and yet it still took 9 rounds to get Margarito out of there.

With that said if he wasnt in shape for the fight with Mosley, looking at the mosley fight can mislead one into thinking its going to be a short nights work...
Bottom line is this fight for those who give Margarito not a single chance, if Manny does not do better than what Mosley was able to do, that is going to fall on him, the pressure is on Manny to surpass what the 37 year old did when he fought Margarito....

But what happens should Margarito actually not be so easy in there for Pac? *****s are lining this one up to degrade pac, and if Manny losses sure there will be a rematch, but at the same time *****s will feel or atleast argue this is why the fight with Floyd need not happen Pac is a hype job....

end of the day I see this being a very hard fight for Manny to pull out, if it goes the distance people will argue that Manny doesnt deserve a shot with Floyd.... if he losses well we already know...

Oli I expect you to be here should Manny loss this fight, clearly you think Margarito has no chance...

The bag gloves will probably win it for Pac but he did get hit in the Clottey fight at 147 and his face was a mess and Margo will throw more punches if Arum allows him too.

Sure it was, just like all those home runs Barry Bonds hit after he turned 35 and all of a sudden he started to hit 40+ home runs on a consistant basis, and then of course peaked out at 73 home runs. Of course, on the surface it looked real, but when you dig a little dipper you come to find out it was bull**** all along. You don't want to admit that Margarito was cheating, that's find by me I don't care. You can stay in fairytale land for as long as you like.

  5. I think the way it's gonna go down is Pac's not gonna be able to hurt Margarito (the dude walked through Martinez, Cintron, and Cotto's punches) and Margarito only has to catch Pac a handful of times to hurt him. We all know Pac's defense isn't the greatest, and I think Marg's size/height/weight/power neutralizes Pac's offense.

    Bad fight for Pac.

    I see Marg with a 60% chance of winning to Pac's 40%.

    Hope I'm wrong.

    :think

I will say this again. If marg's chin holds up we could see some epic action here and pacquiao getting hit more than ever. Remember Marg knows only 1 style to fight. Even against mosley when he was getting his ass beat he still fought the same style.

He has a chance, but with this six million dollar purse? Arum has already written the outcome of this fight.

I view Margartio as having about a 35% chance or so. He'll be a lot more dangerous than Clottey because Margarito is a better offensive fighter. I also don't think Pac is the hitter that Mosley is so he'll have a harder time cutting Margarito down. But Margarito is slow both hands and feet so I see Pacquaio beating him to the punch all night long. The fight should be decent and I see Pacquaio winning a decision. Margarito is no push over even though he hasn't looked great in his last two fights.

    No.

Without the plaster, Margarito doesn't even get passed the 6th round.

FMJ ducked nobody and that includes Margarito.

No boxing fan in their right mind thinks ANYONE has a chance of beating Mayweather. Who? Cotto? Clottey? Williams? Those are the only named fighters Margo fought and he lost, barely beat, and/or probably cheated in every fight.

I like Margo, but you guys are putting a dub on him. He is a great fighter to have in the mix, but to act as though people were running scared of him calls your boxing knowledge/analysis into question.

Duckweather ducked every legitimate threat at 147, and that is not even debatable. He probably would have beaten those guys, but he was to frightened to try.
