does marquez get enough credit for whooping pacquiao 4 times?

Pacquiao is 2-1-1 against Marquez so he leads the rivalry but Marquez does get credit for one win. However, it was pretty obvious that Marquez had to use Heredia and his drugs to get that one single win.

 

I wouldn't call it ''Whooping'' as the 1st, 2nd & 3rd fights were all action packed and was close and competitive.

The difference between Pacquiao & Marquez RIGHT NOW is...........

- Manny Pacquiao is still currently Top 2 P4P & WBO 147 Champion.

- Manny Pacquiao is 2-1-1 (Knocked Marquez down 5 times) Officially.

- Manny Pacquiao - Better Legacy and higher ATG ranking than Marquez.

- The only great win on Marquez's resume is that 1 win over Pacquiao, Pacquiao's Resume> marquez's resume.

- Timothy Bradley> marquez

and he was roided to the gills in the 3rd and 4th matches, so they should be NC

JMM is actually 0-2-2NC against Pac

Pac is Marquez' daddy and he knows it, that's why he's currently running away from the 5th match/biggest payday of his life

 

I think he gets plenty of credit, if you removed Pacquiao's name completely from JMM's resume, he would not be seen as a great fighter.

 

As time passes, Marquez will get more respect for the fights he had with pacquiao. That's always the way really.

 

JMM is one of the greatest fighters that has ever come out of Mexico and anywhere else. A bonafide ATG. I think that he is a better fighter than Pac regardless of the stats.

 

Only Pac fans (the crazy ones) don't give him credit. They make excuses.

Of course, he gets credit. Those two wins against Pacquiao are what his whole career is based on. Most people don't even reference his win over Barrera, his lightweight title, or his fight of the year performance against Diaz.
