This. Plus I would add Manny is a southpaw, and Floyd's defenses are not as good against southpaws.

I think they both have great skills and too closely evenly skilled its really too tough to say which has the more skills.

like I always say, jmm skills match up better to pac skills than vise versa, but pacs skills match up better to a wider variety of fighters.

pac had beaten fighters jmm simply cannot beat, I cant say jmm has or could beat anyone that pac could not himself beat, and pac would beat them in more convincing manner I would think

    I don't think so

Pacquiao can defeat a larger range of fighters than Marquez so to me Pacquaio's skill set is better

Marquez would have been beaten by the Margarito and Cotto that Pacquiao fought

Watch his fight with Katsidis as a reference. Marquez punch selection and body work at his best is superb. Manny has a good skill set to match his athleticism, but his attack isn't very varied. Marquez throws his punches way more properly and intelligently.

Pacquiao's activity... Mayweather has to throw more than 200-300 punches. Pacquiao is already going to be harder to hit than most opponents.

Juan MM is by far the better boxer and has more tools than Manny... But Pac had the athletic skills to balance him a lot as well.

In my opinion he has a better skill set than Pac...smarter fighter too. Pac is just so far ahead of him physically

Your under the impression that Pac will walk through Floyd punches !!

Hatton thought that he would as well as other fighter did.. The only fighter that have been able to take punches really well is fighters that come into the fight 15lb higher on fight night.

Second I doubt Pac will make the same mistake twice.. The last time he and Roach thought that Pac could walk through punches, pac was left face down holding his Nutz !

Fighters with physical talents are more a menace to the average good fighter.
The average fighter has such difficulty in coping with things happening quicker and faster. Its why physical talents like Manny Pacquiao, Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. looked so dominant against fighters less than A level.

You put these physical marvels up against a true A level skilled fighter, and more often than not, they're brought down to size, their physical talents not being able to surpass true skill at the highest order.

More often than not a higher skill level cuts down to size physical talent.
