firstly ill admit ive been a compete matchroom fanboy since ****** split from Sky and created Boxnation. But since the recent changeover of Frampton to ******s camp, its started to get me thinking. Do matchroom back their fighters as much as they should? Here's my examples, when was the last time one of Allegedly's fighters had to go to the champions back yard to win a world title? What im saying is, Allegedly puts so much money up in backing his fighter that he forces the champion over to the UK, there fore giving his fighter the best chance possible of success. here's few examples, Calzaghe, Khan, Hatton, Burns, Cleverly etc...... Now im no Allegedly fan, in fact, i think he's a slime ball, but it cannot be denied that if you're a british fighter and want to become a world champion ,these bog eyed slime ball will put his money behind you (providing you get paid of course :rofl) Now we have Eddie Hearn, a likeable character, i love his interviews on iFilm London, but if you look at his world title challenging fighters to date, they've all had to travel to get their chance, Carl Froch excluded of course. Barker, travelled and lost. Brook, was going to have to travel, Purdy, travvelled, although i wont blame Eddie for that. Then there's the debacle of the Ryder and Saunders purse bid. That to me stinks of bull****. There's no way in hell they made an honest mistake on that pursebid. Hearn simply wont back Ryder. This, along with the Frampton issue has truly pissed me off, and surely its plain to see that he's not truly investing, and taking chances with his fighters. what would you opinions be?
But he had them in with pavlik, cotto and rios earning career high pays and centre stage briefly in big time boxingIsn't that a promoters job and the same could be said for Alexander purdy, broner Rees and golovkin proksa None of these fighters would of got these opportunities at home and were very lucky to get them at all A promoter gets an average boxer a fight in Vegas or New York against a p4p contender.brilliant work i would say
It's their career They fight In a showpiece event for big money, they all jumped at it so why is it so bad In purdys case hearns a miracle worker
My opinion would be that you are talking nonsense about the Ryder situation the Board accepted the bid like they have accepted many matchroom bids but this one was against wazza and wazza saw a simple mistake which he could contest that to the letter of their rules would mean the bids would go back out and the board had to do so.To say otherwise is a silly theory with no evidence to back it up.
