i give mayo more of a chance than most people.
I was very surprised when this fight was announced.
I've always thought that mayorga's style is bad fo cotto.
However this is a WAY past prime mayo, so in paper miguel should win.
However I wouldn't be too shocked if we get an upset.

check out the type of stuff Mayorga was able to land on Mosley
if he checks Cotto with one of those shots early it might be lights out. Cotto is a way better boxer then Shane and i mean that with no disrespect. but mayorga always has a chance especially early given the fact that he's suppose to be in great shape. im still picking cotto and cant wait for the Margarito rematch. or a fight against ricky hatton which i know isnt even in the cards but he called my boy out in his first U.S. fight and i haven't forgotten about it.

Punchers chance, if he catches him early. Almost no chance, Cotto is superior and stayed active. Mayorga is washed up and just wants to cash out.

I see a Cotto winning this if the round goes beyond the 6th round and he keeps Mayorga at bay with his punches. I predict a Cotto win by TKO in the 9th round.

Cotto can adjust to Mayorga especially since Shane did. After struggling in the early going Mosley landed the left hook & right hand consistently though Mayorga was game. Shane didn't look as bad overall as people think he did though he started off awful.

It was an ugly fight but a good scrap but Mayorga was holding more than I remembered he did. It was hard for Shane to fight against that wild style but past the 3rd round the fight went his way though Mayorga won a couple more rounds afterwards. Mosley landed the cleaner punches and I think people forget that. Mayorga only won 4 rounds at max.

Not a great performance by Shane but a decent one and it's a myth that Mayorga should have been up before the ko. Mosley used his jab more than I thought he did against Mayorga too. We do have to remember that this fight was three years ago and Cotto is NOT fighting the same Mayorga that Shane did.

The smart money says Cotto should win this, even though hes shopworn he is still more active and if he can wheter the early storm i say he wins a decision after surviving some scary moments..

That being said I have a funny feeling Mayorga is gonna pull this off, im maybe 60/40 Cotto.... But on Rummys challenge i picked Mayorga to knock him out.. Just have a funny feeling bout this one.
