Anything less than an impressive KO win has Floyd as #2 (at best) on P4P lists. A Marquez win or an early, impressive KO by Floyd and Manny is at #2.

I think he chose JMM because he believes he will KO him and make a statement to Pac.

Even though the current p4p number one couldnt knock him out either and argubally lost to him? im sorry but all floyd has to do is beat him convincingly and knock him down a few times to be in an argument for p4p top spot.

What the hell are you talking about.....Marquez was hurt once in his whole career....and that the rematch with Pac where Pac timed him with a picture perfect left cross right on the button......
.....the same shot in fact the put Hatton to sleep, JMM rose up within a couple of seconds and survived the round.

The mans chin is solid......if Mayweather stops him it will be through accumulation and not by any single shot.

Some of you guys dont have a clue......

First off, a Mayweather vs Pac fight could'nt be made at the moment because both fighters would want the bigger share of the purse.....

Before the JMM-Mayweather fight had been negotiated, Bob Arum had made it clear that Pac would get the Lions share of a purse that involved Mayweather......

Simply, Mayweather would have never got Pac in the ring without getting screwed purse wise.

I dont have the specifics, but against JMM, there is'nt any doubt that Mayweather will be getting the much better part of the purse......and with it, the opportunity for Mayweather to beat JMM in a non-controversial fashion and then lay claim that "I just beat the man that Pac lost too twice."

.....with that, there is no way Pac could demand the Lions share of the purse.....

I have no doubt that Mayweather wants to fight Pac......its the reason why he came out of retirement.
The simple reason for Mayweather fighting JMM, is to set the Pac fight up on his terms, Mayweather's terms.

I agree with that. Marquez's chin is definitely solid. He wouldn't have gone 24 rounds against the P4P best otherwise.

I don't think Mayweather can stop him but I expect him to win nonetheless.

If the weight catches up to JMM in the late rounds, a Mayweather stoppage through accumulation is possible, but probably not probable......

.....in any regards, Mayweather imo has better tools than Pac, and if he used them with the intent to get the KO, he'd definitely imo would have a better chance at stopping JMM than Pac.

....the thing with Mayweather is that he's more a safety first fighter, and he does'nt go out seeking KO's because he knows that doing so leaves him more vulnerable to getting hit.

The only time that Mayweather puts the pedal to the metal is when the other guy is totally outclassed (Arturo Gatti).....otherwise, Mayweather is perfectly content to jab and potshot his way to a decision.
