I was astonished at how easy Pacquiao made the first Barrera fight look. He didn't even try to avoid Barreras punches. He just ate them with such ease.

He used a lot of upper body movement in that fight but it was all for the purpose of cracking Barreras guard. He just had no respect for Barreras offense. Barrera would hit him and Pacquiao would at some points would just stand right in front of him completely undeterred.

Hagler had Hearns. Duran beat Leonard. Ali beat Foreman. Robinson beat Lamotta. Isn't this easy stuff?

I don't know why people keep mention Barrera as an ATG win for Pacquiao because he isn't. Barrerra is certainly a HOF but he ain't no ATG

How can you argue that Hearns was a prime ATG for Hagler and at the same time think Marquez doesn't count for Mayweather?

How many fights did Hearns manage at this prime weightclass?

Prime is a Marquez dragged up two weight classes only to be cheated on the scales? Your definition of prime is getting stretched real thin there. Reaching...

He may not have beaten any ATG in their primes but to be fair, it's only because ATG didn't want to fight him before he got rich, and after he got rich he didn't want to risk his 0 anymore.

He could have beaten many greats if he faced them. He just chose not to.

Exactly. Marquez didn't even put the weight properly.

    Real talk.

Those that seem to claim Mayweather never fought and beat an ATG in his prime cannot name opponents he should of faced.

No. The closest is Marquez but that was a Marquez who was dragged up 2 divisions

    From 135 to 147 or 12lbs

Had only been campaigning at 135 for all of 2 fights

Marquez was at 130 2 fights prior to facing Floyd

Floyd had been campaigning at 147 for something like 4 years and he'd even won a strap up at 154 during that time

And Floyd was on PEDs for most of his career and he didn't even make weight for the fight despite holding almost every conceivable physical advantage over Marquez and having home advantage, an American referee and 3 US judges.
