What about not fighting Juan Diaz or Casamayor at 135?

He went past 135 past 140 to 147 and dismantled fighters that had Floyd in trouble. Manny is just better sturdier Welter right now and Floyd wants no part.

Well he fought David Diaz at 135. Juan Diaz was a better fighter and he even called Manny out, so why no fight?

The only thing i can think about is that sometimes, and i mean sometimes, he can be a slowish starter. I don't see the criticism that he has no attack, i think the way he blitzed Mosley throughout over 3/4 of the fight and starting after a knockdown was impressive. It is just that he prefers fighting in an efficient and least dangerous way. Unfortunately to some, he comes across as boring and non-fan friendly.

That is a pathetic argument he went up higher in weight to face ODLH who was picked by most to beat him.

Floyd will forever be well behind Manny till the end of time.

    Manny, Ali, SRL

    Floyd, RJJ, Rocky Juarez

    Different cloths my friend.

No it's not. He went to 135 and didn't fight the best. Juan and Joel were rated higher and Juan called him out, but they took on the weaker title holder in David.

It's funny because Marquez moved up right after they fought and took on the champ, while Manny took on the weakest title holder

he was at that weight for one fight. He moved up to fight the best. Juan and Joel do not mean anything when you faced MAB, JMM, EM at 125 and 130 and step up to face Cotto,Clottey and want to fight Floyd or as he said anybody up to 147.

You still have not answered why Floyd having been a welterweight for over 6 years has never faced Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Pac ?

Well Clottey is a nobody with no fan base and no significant win other than Judah after he lost to Cotto and Floyd, so he was never in the Mayweather sweepstakes, plus he was never relevant while Floyd was active.

This thread will answer all your questions about Margarito

I want to add also that Floyd offered Margarito a fight in place of Zab, but he turned it down because it was too soon after his fight with Gomez

Floyd asked to fight Cotto at 140, but Arum and Cotto's people said he was too green. The only viable time to fight him was after Hatton, but Floyd retired. He planned on retiring after Baldomir, but then Oscar came along with the pay day. Then Hatton called him out, so he said screw it and decided to take the fight then retired again. I'm sure everybody would have gotten tired of the fake retirements and then comeback after every fight. Not to mention his body was breaking down a lot.
Also Cotto was never that vocal about a Floyd fight while he was still in the game.

Pacquiao never agreed on paper to doing OSDT.

    Any more questions?
