We know he watches other people fight. Not sure about the tapes but he attends fights or watches them live at least. He even called Pac one dimensional post Cotto.

Yes, especially at WW. Lack of quality opposition.

I agree, but as far as studying tapes over and over and putting a gameplan together, I doubt it.

Yeah, 24/7 is mostly for entertainment purposes, that is very clear. What is also very clear is that you take every word that comes out of Mayweather's mouth as the truth. Mayweather's image is that he is this undefeated great who doesn't need to watch his opposition before he steps in the ring with them, and he adjusts on the fly...along with, "There is no blueprint to beat Mayweather". You really believe Mayweather would get himself into the best shape possible to tackle whatever his opponent brings on fight night, but then neglects to study them beforehand? Really? How gullable can you be? The fact that he claims he will only step into the ring when he is 100% for his fans is a clear indication of how serious he takes stepping into the ring.

I can believe that Roger does the most studying, and comes up with the gameplan...but Floyd not watching any previous bouts whatsoever? It's not very believable considering the image he has tried to portrait through the media for years.

You doubt it why? Because he says so? :dead

Throw many punches against what? Hurt opponent. Every body throws many punches when they hurt their opponent. In higher weigh Floyd's punch output is even lower.

The fact that he takes the sport very seriously, is always in top shape, and like I have said in a previous post...he cuts no corners. The whole, "I don't watch fight tapes" is to build his image up even further.

I disagree.. Mosley was arguably the strongest puncher in Welter weight when floyd fought him. Chin check was checked. Shook it off and adjust :thumbsup

Limited arsenal, you could predict his punch and outpunch him when you have the athleticism to do so, but this is easier said than done.(Look at Zab Judah in the early rounds)

Another weakness is when he is in exchanges, He was never meant to be a brawler. (Ex is vs ODLH in the final rounds).

I pretty much agree with you entirely old bean. If you could make a welterweight Calzaghe, then he'd probably be the kind of fighter that would have the best chance. The closest to that anywhere near his weight(and this is why it will never ever happen) is Martinez.

I agree that Floyd don´t have much weakness in his boxing (he´s pretty much a complete package), but this 41-0 is a weak argument. Like saying that Marciano was flawless.
