I think he does let me explain note the key word is ISSUES

Mayweather rarely gets hit flush and the times he has most of them were from southpaws

    chop chop

    zab Judah

    Ortiz was doing well

    and some other guy......

let me pick zab as a example zab was beating Floyd up for 6 rounds before he got tired Judah was able to catch him flush from the southpaw stance mayweather was puzzled for 6 rounds Judah lost to himself by getting tired

do you feel he has issues with southpaws?

Also I would like to add he has never faced a A class southpaw

It seems like the only 2 types of fighters he has issues with are smart pressure fighters and fighter who make him lead.

Floyd was also hit with good shots by Mosley and Maidana. Guys like Castillo, DLH and Cotto also had some success against him and Floyd did beat all the southpaws you mentioned plus Guerrero and any other southpaws he has faced so I haven't noticed any particular issues with lefties. However, he might not like facing them just like many other boxers don't really like facing them.

He's never lost to one which is what makes the idea of him not wanting to face Pacquiao sound more legitimate. All the southpaws he's faced were average at best. Corley had terrible technique, Judah was a five round fighter, Mitchell was way past it, and Ortiz was never nothing to brag about. Pacquiao apart from being a lefty fights nothing like any of those guys.

He had Judah problem early in the fight, but worked it out.

Someone like Pacquiao though, who can quickly cut an angle and get his straight left in, may trouble his defense. He won't be able to use his normal shoulder roll on him.
