been wondering for a while whether all the rumours about who floyd may be fighting are put out by himself we've had alot of rumours over the last 3 years and alot have been nothing but rumours but does anyone recon its floyd's or his team's idea to put these rumours on possible opponents out there to see what the public response to each opponent is and then base their decision of who is deemed eligable to fight floyd and make for a competative fight we've had ortiz (before it happened), morales, martinez amoungst others like in the case of ortiz there was alot of hype before the fight even got signed about ortiz being a young hungry lion who is gunna put everything on the line this could be the case as there are alot of rumours but rarely anything from team mayweather unless an opponent is finally named anyone agree?
I'd say he puts out the horrible rumours also, the Matthew Hatton, etc...people expect these crappy fights, then a bout with a Mosley type opponent is announced.
Floyd is entirely spontanious...He's not smart enought to think of this plan...Floyd saw Ortiz beat Berto, and Floyd decided THAT day that he wanted schaefer to get in contact with Ellerbee and Haymon, Floyd Sr came on this Show and Jenne Jay said Floyd should fight spadafora, THEN He told Floyd Jr, and Floyd WAS going to fight him..Then Roger went in an interview and said, "I aint even kno spadafora was still fighting", And Floyd Jr got embarrassed and changed his mind about it....As far as everyone else, Gurerro started the rumor himself, Sergio Martinez started the rumor himself, and Eric Gomez said something in an interview that grew like a mustard seed...Floyd isnt smart enough to do this stuff...he just chooses spontaniously, and as far as Mathew Hatton, some hater wrote an article about Floyd fighting him, and next thing u know EVERYONE starts following up, and all of a sudden, "Floyd has been in talks with mathew hatton"...Floyd NEVER started any rumor...He just goes around partying not thinking about boxing, and wakes up one day with a random choice
He links his name with fighting the best but doesnt follow through. He done this while on retirement too. So his name stays out there.Then makes excuses that he's being ducked
The worst part is not Gayweather putting up rumors!!!! It is the *****s believing the rumors like a school-girls with Bieber crush. Gayweather fighting Martinez - it must be the truth because OMG, Gayweather only fights the best, Gayweather vs, Ortiz - according to Ellerbe it is the best fight ever, fighting a ranked fighter. If the ***** Father says so, then we must defend that by ---------labelling Ortiz a young, hungry lion, and attack anyone who mentions Maidana.
