Alot of people talk about Ortiz being a handpicked oppenant and automatically assuming we going to see the usual Mayweather show up, but he is 34 going onto 35 in a few months, History has proven fighters especially lower down the divisions by that age they were washed up.

Also with his inactivity level, I wonder if this could be one fight to far even as a big mayweather fan myself I dont know if he can still perform at the level he was in 2005,2006 etc.

    opinions?

Mayweather isn't affected by long lay offs like one would assume. He prefers to remain as inactive as he is. It works for him. He picked Ortiz for a reason. Easy nights work.

Not yet, he hasn't. If he keeps it up, it's only a matter of time before the inactivity comes back to bite him in the ass. I really hope this is the last time he goes on a long inactive stretch. Either fight, or just retire, Floyd.

Floyd will retire long before that day comes. The moment he feels there's even a slight sign of other people being able to compete with him, he'll hang them up.

He did that already like 3 times. Soon as Pacquaio signs to fight somebody...yep its time for Floyd to come back and un-retire.
