Hes unbeaten and a 5 weight world champion, so yes he throws exactly the right amount.

Isnt this about the 3rd time you've started this EXACT same thread?

Why has no one banned you yet?

What a dumb question, he won all his fights so the answer is obviously yes. Maybe when he starts losing this thread could be brought up.

He's 37/38... so ofcourse his punch output will be down. Go watch him when he fought at 130

Not anymore, but his new/old style of almost purely counter-punching doesn't really lend itself to combinations. In my opinion combination punching is exciting to watch but rarely effective and what I mean by that is, I've seen countless boxers throw combinations without any real effectiveness other than to "wow" a crowd or deceive the eyes of untrained judges, or land 1 out of the 3-5 punch combinations. However, combination punching can be, and has been a underrated component for defense.

He's a pot-shotter. Does what he needs to to get the win against the kind of opponents he faces. No need to trade against brawlers, just hit and move.

I've never been a fan with that thinking because the logic is severely flawed. Who did he fight? When? What were the circumstances? Sven Ottke won all of his fights too but I can think of a few things that he could've changed.

To answer the question, against his level of opposition he can get away with what he does but if he were to fight a Roberto Duran for instance he'd be outworked (though throwing more means Floyd may get stopped). He doesn't like to throw combinations because he leaves himself open to be hit.
