I seriously think Cotto would get a bigger PPV byrate than Hatton or De La Hoya 2.

Now? Certianly not. But if they both keep winning, next year it could do 1.5 million PPV and would sell out MSG in a matter of minutes.

I think a fight with Cotto would get less buys but make him more money. against DLH he would have to take the smaller purse whereas with Cotto he could call the shots. I think him and Oscar are both delusional if they think that a second fight will sell even half as good as the first one did after the disapointment of the first fight.

A hatton fight is probably where he would make the most money. The first fight was good so no one is left with a sour taste in their mouth for paying for it and UK fans will always back Ricky. Also floyd would be able to dicate the negotiations and take the lions share of the purse.

I think the DLH fight will make him the most, followed by Hatton, and then Cotto.

Those are the three biggest fights financially for Floyd - it wouldn't surprise me if he took those in sequence and then retired.

It's not so much a money question, as it is risk vs reward.

    Hell yeah !!

DLH does 800k by himself ... Cotto can't get 1/2 that by himself, let alone w/ another big name.

    Floyd will bring his 500k+

You really think DLH can still put up those kind of numbers? I mean he has shown no sign of slowing down in that regard but one would have to hope that boxing fans would eventually come to their senses.

DLH had 850k buys when he fought against Mayorga ... Mayorga of all people and DLH hadn't fought in over a year.

Mayweather vs. Cotto might be appealing to actual boxing fans, but the names De La Hoya and Mayweather will bring in much more casual fans. In fact, the people I watched Mayweather vs. De La hoya I with have no idea who Cotto is, they just bought the first fight because they saw the add and though "Yay, another De al Hoya fight!". No way in hell Cotto brings in these type of UFC watching Budwiser drinkers.

It doesn't matter if Oscar loses ... he still has a solid fan base in the west coast, mexico, and puerto rico.

Oscar will always do big numbers and him taking the Forbes fight and having it on HBO WCB will bring him back in his fans good graces.

The thing is about Hatton and the UK fans, most of the british public got conned by the press into believing hatton was gonna win, that won't happen this time. I don't think that fight would sell out Wembley!

Surley Mayweather would also take at least 75% of the purse against Cotto.

I think that Cotto v Mayweather next year would do well ... they would get just about 650k buys ... less than Mayweather Hatton.

    Miguel is not Tito ...

He'll sell out the garden but outside of NY and PR no on knows who Cotto is.

DLH-PBF can still make more than PBF-Cotto.

You may be right, in terms of REWARD, but forget not, that there is another part of the equation--RISK!
