Cotto has always had my respect. . . It's fun to make some jokes about him taking the knee, but it's not like he didn't give it his all. . . He was probably getting hit with bricks too. But I was impressed with him. . . He did a little bit better than I thought, especially in the center of the ring.
He earned the respect of how he carries himself..Doesn't say **** or disrespects anybody.Very respectable young man.
Always had my respect for him. But, I don't think he ever reached the level to be considered elite. Sure, he beat some good fighters, but not great fighters. I respect him more now on how he did against Floyd though.
I've always respected him. His career has been great to follow as a fan both of his and of boxing. He carries himself well and has repeatedly been in entertaining, big fights. He will walk into the Hall of Fame five years after he hangs up the gloves. A real fighter. Pac and May won't fight each other; he's fought both. Also took on Mosley before either of them and Margarito when he was on top. No "vacation" not afraid of needles, just consistent great fights.
Im not sure why this question is being asked now after fighting Mayweather. He fought prime Marg and Manny , plus a dangerous Mosley and Judah.
Why would he not have our respect ??? The Man is an Elite Athlete/Boxer that was Champion who has been respectful to others and the fans.
