dempsey has the case for being the goat heavyweight. to rank tyson above him is just crazy.

Old? How old do you think I am you little ****?! I'm in my mid twenties... and if anyone has lapses in memory due to advanced age it's you. Forgetting the greatest recent heavyweight of our time, Lennox Lewis?? :patsch

Yo how come Floyd Patterson's not in anyone's list? Guy was a stocky bull even though he fought in the dinosaur's age.

Lewis is grossly overrated by many boxing fans on this forum - as you have seen - and they get all bent out of shape if you dare rank their hero lower than their over-inflated rankings of him. He's borderline top ten at best.

Exactly. Holyfield and Holmes should both be ranked higher. Never saw either of them taken out early by second-raters. And, they actually fought other great fighters when it mattered, not when those guys were aging shells.

J.johnson and sullivan should be higher. No a case for tyson top 20 yes, but his reign too short and resume too weak.

my list would be something like:
    1. Ali
    2. Louis
    3. J. Johnson
    4. Marciano
    5. Foreman
    6. Holmes
    7. Sullivan
    8 .Holyfield
    9 .Lewis
    10.Dempsey/Frazier - tough pick

One victory doesn't cut it for me. It was a great win therefore hes in my top ten, but his style doesnt bow well for consistency sadly.

Go **** yourself Zak... I've never been a Lewis fan, but he does deserve to be mentioned among the top greats so I was simply pointing out the thread starter's obviously flawed list.
