Definitely IMO Jas. I mean when you take into consideration the power, the speed, the execution, and how in his prime he was almost guaranteed to LAND ONE, prob the best. Look how short it is. That much power generated that fast
What was awesome about Mike's uppercut was how he threw it with the hook. He'd threw a massive left hook to the body and then bring it up to the jaw for an uppercut. He did it so fluidly, it amazing. Mike's uppercut has knocked out a lot of opponents. Bowe had a great, powerful uppercut also.
It is exceptional, that's for sure. Look at how the legs lead the hips, which leads the shoulders and arm. All working with extremely close knit timing to create a perfect transfer of energy to the opponent. It's definitely worthy to be in the conversation of "who's has the best uppercut of all time?" If I'm being objective, though, with this video, I do have a slight problem with the left hand positioning the opponent's head, as it could work as a kind of "tell" that the uppercut is coming.
He's definitely up there. He fell in love with the hook to the body / uppercut to the head combo I like to call the "bolo" punch. Boyd, Ferguson, Frazier, Ribalta...some classic knockdowns. Seems like he forgot about it post prison but did hurt Holyfield in the 5th of their first fight.
And the debate is over . His highness has spoken , a man of few words . Wait maybe that is his only word. I applaud your determination .
