Does Miranda even have a puncher's chance?

Well, he almost KO'd Allan Green in the last round of their fight, and of course caught Abraham at just the right time to break his jaw. (Of course, he then couldn't put Abraham away despite the jaw injury...)

Not sure how much either of that counts, but it shows Miranda can at least have an effect. Personally, I made a small bet on Bute to win, so that shows how likely I think this scenario is though.

Bute almost lost to Andrade out of pure exhaustion like Wlad did to Brewster. Miranda does not have the gas tank to got 12 in tough fight and come back. Miranda has to KO him 4 rounds or atleast beat him up and neutralize him. If not Bute's movement and his arsenal of various punches and combos will tire Miranda like the Pavlik fight and he also shows problems like the Abraham 2 fight. The longer it goes the more Miranda's chances fade

I give Miranda quite a good chance of beating Bute. Bute has the clear advantage in terms of technical boxing skills and speed, but Miranda has the power to KO Bute and will always pose a threat. In the later rounds when both start to tire Bute´s advantages wont be as big as in the earlier rounds where his speed and skills will be more evident. Bute hasn´t really been taken out of his comfort zone except for that first fight against Andrade, and it seems that he lacks something call it stamina, chin, toughness or whatever you like, but it would not surprise me to see Miranda exposing that again.

Come back Sunday to tell us how you liked to be able to read the name tag under Miranda shoes, around the 6th round. Then, you may change your view about Bute's flaws.

A puncher's chance, sure, but Bute would need to get sloppy. The reason Andrade was able to put him on his ass is because of Andrade's relentless style, which forced Bute to use a ton of energy with constant movement. He gassed out late, and Andrade was finally able to catch him when his legs were gone. Miranda is far from relentless. He's a much more methodical boxer who pounces on opponents when the opportunity shows itself. I doubt Bute will provide him with that opportunity.

That's OK, but is not enough to say Miranda is a real puncher.

Miranda run out of gas? Watch and learn. That ain't gonna happen. Bute may win a decision, but it will be far from an easy fight. Miranda KO 8 is my official prediction.

Bute by TKO or KO. Miranda always has a puncher's chance, but not much of a one in this fight, nothing is impossible, but it sure is improbable.

Saying someone has 'a puncher's chance' usually means they have no chance at all.
