Does Montell Griffin deserve credit for his win over Jones?

No.

His BLATANT acting job after being hit by two pitty pat punches and acting like he can't continue... was clearly work of a man who was looking for a way out.

Cheap, and pathetic.

Let's not just look at ROY, but also GRIFFEN.... Deserved exactly what happened in the second fight (and later on, his career), and exactly what happened to history and its memory of his first fight with Roy.

 

He was hurt, but I believe he could've gotten up. Sure, it could've been a delayed reaction. However, I don't think that was the case. Ice is the only one that knows for sure.

 

Really, you need to watch the fight again. I just saw it a couple of days ago. RJJ put everything behind his second shot.

And even if Griffin did fake that he was hurt is not the point. The point is that RJJ threw two shots while he Griffin was down. That is a legit DQ. RJJ broke the rules.

 

So a fighters never hit another fighter after their down and NOT been DQ'ed, or even deducted points? :think

I heard the ref was also the father of the only judge who had Griffen winning??? Another :think

 

Well, one shot by mistake, i can understand. But this was so blatant. If it was just the first shot, i can understand. But it was the second one which did it. I mean he put a lot behind the second one.

 

Yeah perhaps he should. He did well against Jones. The second fight, in my opinion clearly stated who was the better fighter.
