Mosely's still a top-5 WW, but if Mayorga, with his power and pressure, could test him, Margarito will wear him down. Margarito's just too big, strong, well-conditioned, stone-jawed and busy for an aging WW like Mosely, no matter how great he used to be. That said, I wouldn't count Shane out of any fight. Like SRL (though not on that level, obviously), he knows how to win.

Shane is gonna sit down on his punches, fire off an extra punch in the combo, tie up Margo, and take a punch or two in order to get off 4 or 5. This strategy may not work for him, but he will do a better job of it than cotto because of his iron jaw.

Yes, absolutely. Margarito is an extremely slow and lethargic fighter these days. Mosley is cut from stone, and far better set teaming with Richardson instead of his nurturing father. Mosley has also looked alot better at 147 the last few years than he has at 154. The transition he made from Vargas to Collazo in terms of handspeed and reflexes was shocking - and the Collazo fight was "an athletic festival" according to the HBO commentary team. To look good against a fast younger opponent was highly improbable, and might happen again at 147 based on the pattern he's shown moving down in weight. Against Cotto he was all over the place and extremely inconsistent, but he didn't look godawful. What he showed us there won't be enough, but against someone like Margarito he'll be more keyed up, ready, and taking nothing for granted. Mosley is tremendous with his back against the wall.

 

I think Margo is a tough fighter but not unbeatable...it will be tough for Shane but he has a sturdy chin and strong body even at his age and if Margo cant get rid of him, it will make Margo's overated power more overated...:bbb hope shane beats the so called "greatest fighter with the greatest chin in the history of boxing" lmao
