Does Mosley deserve the name "sugar"?

    Everyone knows you have to be an ATG to have the name "Sugar" like Sugar Ray Robinson or Sugar Ray Leonard. So is Mosley an ATG? or is "Splenda" Shane Mosley a more fitting name? Discuss.

    "Splenda" Shane Mosley is now his name to me. That's just ****ing classic.

    Nothing sugar about him though, really is there?

    He might not be an all time great and hes not as good as the other two but he deserves the Sugar nickname.

    he's probably still on steroids. why do people just sweep up the fact that he's a cheater?

    There's only been two fighters really worthy of the Sugar nickname in my judgment, but that isn't to say Mosley hasn't proven himself to be a extra-ordinary fighter.

    +1 on bladerunner


    he was criticised for using it back in the day when he was unproven....but he was p4p number 1 for a year and showed tons of speed, power and chin...the mighty mos.

    too much of a brawler to be considered a true sugar but he has earned it.

    No, I wouldn't expect him to say any different, but at the same time, he sounded perfectly genuine when he made the statement and I have no reason to believe he was not giving an honest appraisal.

    As I said, Ray Leonard told me he carries the torch well. That's good enough for me.
