This is a very live possibility.

I'm basing my pick on how Molsey looked against Cotto and Margarito (i'm giving him a free pass on the Mayorga fight at a weight he's never been that good).

I have a feeling the margo fight was his last great performance. I am worried about him loosing his next fight and I would not expect him to beat Pac or PBF.

40 is old for any division, especially for a welterweight. He turned back the clock for margo but based on all of his fights the last few years I think his time is running out.

Berto aint no defensive wiz. He gets hit very often. Shane should be able to find that shaky jaw with ease.

It will be an ugly fight and Berto will hold on whenever he can. Still like Mosley to take him out in the championship rounds though.

Honestly.. I thought he looked good in executing a well thought out masterful plan of dismantling Margarito and he looks to be a legitimate threat to any top welter at first glance. I'm not sure I'd favor him against Pac or Floyd though, and im really at odds over his bout with Berto. While he looked great in his fight with Margarito, Margarito was practically made for Shane to knock out ( stylistically ). Shane has looked less then himself in his fights before this one..

Who knows, maybe Naz revitalized his career? We'll all find out just how good both Berto and Mosley are come fight night. Hopefully not a clinch fest and instead the kind of war it ought to be!

So, considering he IS GETTING OLD and looked shitty against Vargas too, I think we're seeing a pattern here. Tito and Oscar were able to destory Vargas yet Mosley wasn't? that seems odd to me. yea, styles make fights, but for a known super fast fighter such as mosley, it shouldn't have been that hard. But he's not as fast nor as slick as he once was. Even vs. Margarito he looked bad but Marg sucks.

Mosley will knock Berto out... Just watch the Collazo fight... I must of seen that fight at least 4 times to try to figure out the Berto Mosley match up and I came to the conclusion that Berto is not ready for the likes of Mosley. Not the right style matchup for Berto. If Collazo had any pop, if would of been lights out for Berto.

100% agree, but Collazo is the kind of guy that would give anyone problems, like he did Shane before he broke his hand.

talented an exceptionally skilled boxer u never lose that talent but you do lose pace power an the ability to absorbe shots however i think mosely although not at his best he still has it an will be berto! Learning curve for berto should do him good!

Wow, that is a strong prediction. I doubt it though. Mosley is going to make a statement by KOing young Berto so that he can get in line to fight either Pac or PBF.

Not prime, but still elite in my opinion. I wonder when that one fight is gonna happen where Mosley gets old.

If Mosley loses, everyone would say Berto beat an old Mosely.
If Mosley was to catch Berto with a lucky/good shot and KO Berto in the 1st round everyone would say Mosley shows no sign of slipping etc
I think you have to watch the fighters over a couple of fights to really know, I personally think Mosley has dipped a bit, based on the struggle with Mayorga and a few other recent bouts, but then did look good against Margarito.
