The biggest change from Mosley is his lack of combination punching that he excel at while in his prime. Speed and power he kept most of it but he doesn't mix up his punches like he used to.

I still think he will KO Berto but a prime Mosley would finish him much easier.

Not over 12 rounds he doesn't, most good younger fighters will just follow the Cotto blu-print and outwork him to get the decision.

The older he gets the more and more Mosley will be using the Hopkins "blue-print". He did that to some extent against Margarito and obviously had great results.

I'm really curious to see what Mosley has left and I don't think SSM/Margarito was a proper barometer to judge him by.

I will always admire him, most fighters wouldn't fight 2 fighters 2 times a piece that were avoided by many and had a clear stylistic advantage over them.

Firstly, Mosley and Hopkins are very different fighters, with very different styles.

Secondly, the Hopkins "blue-print" has led to him being outworked by younger, fresher fighters like JT, Calzaghe - who probably wouldn't have been able to lay a glove on him in his prime.

Berto should be able to outwork Mosley, just like Cotto did. Unless Mosley can stop him, which is a possibility.

Cotto didn't "out-work" Mosley any more than Hopkins "out-worked" Pavlik.

Judging from his recent performances he does... but you never know when an old fighter is gonna hit that wall.

yes...he still has enough to beat berto......

i doubt berto can handle a grizzly vet like shane....

berto still lacks quality experience...and always get out of focus...when being clobbered...

this fight will tell what berto is made of....

You misunderstood my post. Of course Mosley and Hops are two very different fighters. What I mean was that SSM will start depending more and more on his guile and crafty ring experience(a la Hopkins) instead of his "power boxing" if he is to continue his success!

And I think Calzhage would probably have always beaten Hopkins.
Hopkins style has not changed much over the years and is the main reason he has been able to be succesfull for so long.
