Hi i know that sleep and rest are very important while training. At this moment im finding it hard get 8 hours of sleep in a row so im asking if anyone knows what if napping when i have time will make up for it and help my body recover?
If you know any supplements that also help with quality of sleep that would be great seeing as im already ordering fish oils and such.

Sleep as much as your body needs, it needs its recovery and sleep is the best recovery.. i currently take fish oils but i don't think they're meant for sleeping.. if you do heavy workouts then sleeping shouldn't be much of a problem really

zinc and magnesium together will help your sleep, they also give you strange dreams.
as I said in the other thread, naps will certainly help.

Fish oils are not for helping you sleep, however you still imo order them, they will do you a world of good, as smalls said zinc and magnesium is what helps you sleep.
And, yes, napping when you have time will help.

when i`m napping before training (which sometimes starts in 21:30) i use to be slow and sloppy even if i try hard.

if i dont nap, if i just drink a coffe and do something to keep my brain active or something, i`m sharper and more concentrated on training.

more people with situations like this? or is it just mental, some placebo effect?

They are primarily for joint care but do have some other benefits, sleep isnt one.

Wait, you don't begin training until 9:30 p.m. No wonder you're not sleeping. If you only train for 1.5 hours that puts you getting out the gym at 11 p.m. so by the time you get home, cleaned up and ready to sleep, it is past midnight and you haven't had time to come down off the adrenalin rush training gives.

Have you tried to sleep at night, wake up early in the a.m. and do a training run then head to the gym early for some training? If the gym isn't open till evening, how about going straight to the gym after attending class and get that in before heading home to eat, clean up and get a full nights sleep. It may take a while to get use to a new routine.

You don't need to sleep 3 hours in the afternoon as a healthy college age dude who is waking up at a normal time. If you were out all night, sure. But not on a regular basis! Why are you training at 930 anyway? if its out of choice I'd consider changing it.
A nap is like an hour long at most.
