Would you be upset if I said that BHOP only deserves to be in the US HOF? Do you see how stupid a comment like that looks when you dont provide an explanation.

Christ thats a hard decision to make.
I think Benn just pips him due to the fact that he was a bit mental.
    Not that eubank wasnt.
Eubank was just mental in a completely different way. As in he was proper nuts.
    Monocle wearing truck driving loony.

All i meant was as far as british fighters go he was one of our best but not top 5. However, when you compare him with the world what did he do. Yes he won 2 world titles, but what great fighters did he beat? Which division did he clear out and dominate? hall of fame up there with ali, louis, whittaker, chavez, mccullum etc etc what the ****, you are deluded. He was very exiting but does that mean we put micky ward and gatt i in the hall of fame too?...hell no

For pure entertainment Benn deserves it more yes, he was never in a boring fight and Eubank was in several.

I admit I was more of a fan of Eubank than Benn and I'm biased but hear me out here....Eubank had a 'tragedy' fight too, only eariler in his career and it affected him in the same way it obviously affected Benn, only Eubank had longer left to go in his career. Eubank beat Benn once and drew once and also beat Watson twice who'd given Benn a lesson. Even though he didn't fight the guy I'd have bet my life on Eubank beating McClellan too, that chin of Eubanks just didn't crack, ever. Add to that his performances at 190 against Thompson late in his career and also pushing Slappy to the limit when severely weight drained....I just think he nicks it personally but I wouldn't argue too much if Benn got in first - as long as Eubank got in too, he was a great fighter.

Incidentally if you want a 'mental' fighter to put in there, try Kirkland Laing

HOF is not about acheivmants its about what you bring to the table and with benn it was adrenalin and excitment.
When you saw a Benn fight you new someone was getting sparked and you could not afford to blink.
There are many great fighters who won more than Benn but they are not or wont be remembered as fondly as Nigel Benn.
Joe Calzaghe being one of them.
And im saying that as a fan.
It takes a special kind of fighter be HOF worthy and in my eyes Nigel Benn ticks all the right boxes.
