Does Oscar think he's doing boxing a favor by still fighting?

Ya' know. I use to respect DLH....I never liked his whole pretty boy image and that latin grammy crap literally made me sick to my stomach. But say what you will, the guy sought out challenges and fought the best. But as you all know, over the last few years he has turned more businessman than fighter.

I have to admit something here. I honestly thought that Golden Boy Promotions would clean up boxing by treating fighters better than guys like King and Arum, and would give the fans better fights. Boy was I wrong! Maybe the fighters get better treatment at GBP but the fans certainly don't. It seems to me, the majority of GPB PPV fights are matches made between over the hill "once greats" (who make up the bulk of their stable) against smaller guys at some ridiculous catchweight where a title is usually not even on the line.
    • Hopkins/Wright
    • DLH/Forbes
    • Hatton/Mayweather
    • Pavlik/Hopkins
    • DLH/Pacquiaio!!!?
The point is, Golden Boy seems to be steering away from fights with any relevancy. In fact, the only fighter promoted by GBP that I still respect is Mosely...because at least Mosely still has the drive to fight the best and be relevant in his division....but Oscar has really made me sick as of late.

It started with his talk of rematching Mayweather. That fight reaked of blantant, blantant greed!!! I was insulted as a boxing fan and amazed at the arrogance Oscar has. We all know "Money May" only cares about dollars so I won't even mention him, but Oscar now assumes that any time he fights, he's doing the boxing world a favor and fans are salivating to see him back in the ring. Well, maybe the women that make up the majority of his fanbase might still feel so, but I was a fan of the sport I lost interest in Oscar a long time ago. When I did appreciate (I say appreciate cause I never liked the guy), it was when he consistantly sought out the best challenges. Well, if he is no longer willing to take on the Margaritos, Cottos and Bertos of the world, than I wish he'd just go away. He's not doing us any favors by fighting one more time and he's not fooling anybody into thinking he's "still got it" by beating up on an elite fighter half his size.

Oscar is a byproduct of the boxing industry.Cant really hate on him for chasing that money being that as a not well known boxer your in there risking your life will barely making peanuts so there comes a time where if you can make the most money ,then Hell shoot for it.But at least have a bit of dignity while doing so.Cant wait til Oscar retires!
