These African American fighters have more than one thing in common most of which have fast hands, good jabs, great movement, great stamina, good defense and can all counter. With the exception of Mosley they don't stand right in front of you. You can argue this all day but it's the truth.

You just described Pacquiao to a T. Does he qualify as a "slick, black" fighter?

Also, couldn't you make the same argument against Mayweather? He has continually avoided those types of boxers.

No he's not slick he doesn't use a jab or employ great defense.

Pacquiao and defense don't belong anywhere near each other.

i dont think the argument was meant to be taken literally. Africans and African-Americans are trained different. pacman has made his money beating latinos. the tim bradleys, nate campells, shane mosleys, andre berto's, zab judahs, paul williams, devon alexanders have for some reason or another been avoided. now im not saying that pacman cant beat them, but his handlers have done a good job steering him in certain directions. the proof is in the pudding. this fight went exactly as planned. low risk low reward in my view.

I already listed them. Alexander and PBF are both slick. Bradley is somewhat as well but I wouldn't call Mosley slick but he has the size, speed, power, chin and stamina to give Pac hell. The thing is there are many elite African American fighters at 140 or 147 for Pac to face. He still has time to face atleast one before he hangs them up.

Oh snap! I forgot all about that one lol

Then it will be Mosley and PBF that Manny beats and then the Mexicans will say Manny is avoiding Marquez and every other Mexican fighter on the rise :rofl

Doesn't Clottey live and train primarily in the Bronx?

He's seen Gymkata. He doesn't want no part of the muscles from Brussells.

    Pacquiao aint ducking anybody.

But PimpC has a point, Alexander, Bradley and Floyd are all different beasts, trained different and brought up different from the amateurs.

Anyone that really, really thought Clottey was beating Pacquiao right now is out of their ****ing mind, because Clottey with his turtle shell against Pacquiaos frequency and darting movement with good side to side movement spelled trouble.

But I think I was right in saying that Clottey would land with his lead right a few times, what surprised me was how easy he landed the left uppercut from locking-horns stance.

Good night all in all, Bradley, Alexander and Floyd are all much different, stylistically.
