No, he has to land punches to win. Look at the first Maidana fight, he threw over 800 punches but didnt land clean scoring punches. Floyd actually threw half the punches but landed more then Maidana.

No. But he has to make sure he outworks him every single round and needs to win at least 4 rounds because i believe the powers want manny to win to cash in on the rematch

He can throw three times that many it but it still won't help him. You can't hit what your eyes can't see. Money May-trix gonna make him be swiping at thin air all night. :deal

The punching opportunities won't be there for Pac to throw 1,000 punches over the course of 12 rounds. So I voted no.

If Manny gets off 1,000 punches against Floyd, he will win the fight because if Floyd isn't slowing Pacquiao's output with counters he's being too defensive and losing rounds against that volume. I think Pacquiao will have to be busy but not that busy. 700 punches probably gets it done.

No, that is just stupid, he just needs to land his shots and make them count. If he tries to throw that many he will get knocked out

Yes, in my opinion... he has to throw over 900 punches or more in this fight. Cotto got up to the 600's range, and made Mayweather had to dig deep and Mayweather did indeeed.... Pac has to do what Kovalev did to Hopkins, he just threw and threw and didn't care if it landed, or not.

He hit his arms, elbows, shoulders... and that was their strategy, and it worked. Different fighters.... but he has to go all out.

Mayweather will be bigger than him on fight night too....

Mayweather averages 45-50 punches a round. PAC throws about 60 punches a round. If PAC can out throw Mayweather by 15 punches a round he could steal some rounds. Just saying.

Styles make fights and if you look back at history it's always been pressure fighters that's given Floyd the most problems.

I think Matthysse would be a stylistic nightmare to Mayweather not Pac

Well when you consider that many people on ESB thinking Manny will win and they keep bringing up workrate this and workrate that. Seems like there should be a lot more votes for yes.

Mayweather reduces fighters output and accuracy. Paquiao will find it very difficult to throw anywhere near 1000 punches.
