Yes. Because his dominating performances over Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, Hatton and Oscar, are still superior to those of anyone else in the sport.

pacquiao keeps the top spot if he struggles but still wins against marquez. no problem especially if both guys give another A+ performances just like in their 2nd fight. meanwhile floyd gets ortiz' p4p spot after he demolishes him. ;)

What about if it a controversial win, once again. Pac stock will plummet.

winning a close fight that can go either way isnt enough to get dropped from the p4p rankings, even if it was a draw. Who is supposed to be number 1 then? Martinez for fighting barker? donaire still has no opponent, and floyd is too inactive. Its easy he loses or floyd beats him then he gets to be number 1. Even if he lost now to marquez than the chance of marquez, martinez, donaire being nr1 is likely as well.

there is nothing controversial in their 2nd fight. both gave an A+ performance in a fight that will go down as an all-time classic. pac's stock did not plummet during that time.

Quite simple who is suppose to be number 1. Floyd should be. He only lost p4p spot due to inactivity. Now he is fighting ortiz and will fight again next may against khan, while pac takes on bradley, that's enough activity to regain his spot if pac gets beat, draws or has a controversial win against a blown up 135 lbs fighter.
