Does pac make it out of round 3 alive against floyd?

It's not "triangle theory." The facts are:

1. Manny is a come forward fighter that is sometimes a bit too reckless;
2. Floyd is an accurate counter puncher who likes to slow his opponents output by punishing them with counter punches and hurts them by accumulation;

Add in the color that:

1. Marquez's statement only reinforces what I posted earler -- the fight will not be a brawl and anyone with brains should know that Manny cannot outbox Floyd;
2. Manny has not shown anything in any fight that tells me he can penetrate Floyd's defense. He has shown the opposite by his inability to KO fighters that have decent defenses, but by any account are inferior to Floyd's (i.e. Clotty, Marquez, Bradley);
3. Pac has not changed his basic plan of attack. He has the same basic style that he employed over 10 years ago and has not shown any stylistic versatility. Show me a fight where Pac does something other than move in and out behind his right hand, trying to land the left in combos and backs away using the peek-a-boo defense when resting. He had more head movement in Marquez 4 but that's the only change I've seen; and
4. Against Marquez (in all fights) and to a lesser extent than Bradley, Pac continued to come forward and use the same basic fighting style despite being effectively countered. He never switched to Plan B (I don't think he has one). Pac has a chin and a heart so I don't think he ever backs off his attack no matter how many clean hard counters are landed (see the Marquez fights, especially 1 and 3 and the Margo fight -- Pac gets hit hard and keeps coming forward trying to retaliate).

Given this evidence I see a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight where Pac attacks gets countered hard ends up taking most of the damage in each exchange while Floyd's defense protects him from any lethal shot. Mayweather takes in the rounds. Pac gets frustrated continues to attack and goes down by accumulation TKO, or walks into a clean shot like he did against Marquez.

I would have a tough time betting if the over/under were at 8-9 rounds (I would take the under at 10 not sure where I would take the over, round 6ish sounds right). So my best guess would be Mayweather by stoppage 9th round. The fight could go the distance if Floyd isn't able to catch Manny clean (I doubt it -- Manny's defense is average and not as good as others Marquez, Judah, and Cotto who Floyd caught cleanly) or if Manny pulls a Mosely/Judah/Mitchell/Gatti/Marquez/De La Hoya (to a certain extent) and stops fighting. I just don't see happening -- Manny will be like Ortiz and Hatton and keep coming forward.

I think 6 to 9th round because Mayweather likes to take time to figure his opponent out before opening up his attack. You can actually see this happening in the Ortiz fight. Floyd takes 2 rounds to figure out where Ortiz's openings are and begins to exploit them in Round 3 and especially the opening of Round 4. Watch the uppercuts and combo uppercuts late in Round 3 and early in Round 4. If it were a Mayweather/Pacquiao II fight I would expect it to end earlier. If you watch the KO Marquez recognizes it's a foot feint and starts the right hand counter before Pac attacks. Mayweather wouldn't need 42 rounds to take advantage of this -- he would easily have hard effective counters to that move by Round 6. Pac would either have to change his attack or it would be a matter of time.

People are going to say -- it took Mayweather 10 rounds to KO Hatton, how is he going to KO Manny earlier? Manny is a better fighter than Hatton with a better chin, but Hatton fights on the inside and doesn't take as much damage as Manny will because the punches he was hit with were shorter until Mayweather started creating more space with his feet. Pac fights from the outside and will be taking Hard straight rights to the head and chin with full extension and left hooks over his right jab. Pac will take more damage over a shorter period of time because the punches will be at full extension. Pac's head will be snapped back multiple times.

All of this evidence and my opinion existed prior to Pac/Bradley and Pac/Marquez 4. Those fights only reinforced what I already thought. I don't only believe this, I'll be putting money on it if the fight ever happens. I want it to happen more than most because I am hoping that *******s will sway the odds allowing me to make more money. I can't wait.

Floyd is a much better technician but he has always had trouble with southpaws. Look at his fights with Judah and Ortiz. Zab Judah gave him hell in the first half of their fight, and Floyd was even knocked down (although it wasn't called by the referee). Ortiz was a fighter who didn't even belong on Floyd's level, but he still managed to rough Floyd up and catch him a couple of times.
Pacquiao would give Floyd more trouble than people say, but in the end Floyd is guaranteed to win if he fights safe and smart. Martinez might actually beat Floyd.
