    dude,

i'll give you some reminders to find out the answer.

he was suppose to lose when he fought lebabwa

he was suppose to lose when he fought mab
(he was being close to nobody back then)

he was suppose to lose when he fought oscar dela hoya
(you were called stupid if you thought pac will win)

nobody or probably less than .001 percent of the fans thought the fight will end in two rounds..
(two years ago, if you talk about pac beating hatton in two rounds, you'll be called stupid and probably be banned in esb forum)

    he defies logic indeed!

Replace "decked" with "bombed" or "pummelled" and no more problems.

    I just saw this...:lol::lol::lol:

Man, honestly, *******s deserve an entire week. I was as happy as anyone watching him beat the **** out of Hatton. I feel like that dude deserves all the love he gets worldwide.

But don't try to act like PW is some cherry-picker. He tries to fight everyone he can, in an era where everyone is trying to handpick their career.. And that's the thanks he gets? People duck his ass, cause he doesn't have some huge ethnic following, and then fans have the nerve to try to **** on his resume????

Yes! Rpbolem solved. I find it hard to believe a boxing fan would not know what "decked" means.

 Give it a ****in rest. IN BOXING, being "decked" means put on your ass. It really IS that simple. You're welcome for the free lesson despite your being stubborn about it. :thumbsup

I think that its a combination of both..I think that Roach is smart in the guys that he allows Pac to fight..You notice that there is no talks of him fighting Cotto or Mosley. I think that Pac will stick more with the slower fighters if they are bigger. I for some reason dont think that a fight with Floyd will ever happen and Floyd will take the fall for it. I think that Pac will stick to fighting at 140, I just dont see him risking it vs any of the top 147 pound fighters.

The other side is Pac seems to get better with every fight even at the age of 30 and to me that is the most impressive thing about him.

Hey, I like Williams a lot, but he was trying to fight BIG NAME fighters only. Is there anything wrong with that? No, not really. But you have to EARN your way to those. Not just call out the most popular fighters, like what Valero is doing.

Margarito was left out mainly due to his WBO belt. But he still beat a lot of Ring ranked WW's in the process of looking for big fights. He defended his belt more then any other titlist at the time. Williams is 2-1 against top 10 WW's. His WBO hurt him like it did Margarito. But at least margarito fought on.

And now beating an inactive Winky IS A GOOD start again, but still. It is what it is. I hope Williams stick to one division (any would be cool) for a while to EARN a high ranking and face a champ.

cotto and mosley are big welters that come in @160 during fights. pac weighs 148-149 during fights. that's why we have weight divisions in the first place. but who knows, maybe cotto and mosley will be willing to go down in weight and fight at a catchweight, perhaps 143 to somewhat offset their big size advantage. it's after all a very big money fight for them if they get a fight with pac.

Didn't feel like reading the 6 middle pages, so forgive me if I duplicate anyone's post here.

I mostly agree with 1lehudson: Pacquiao was cherry-picked by other boxers' management; however, Roach and the rest of his people have been very shrewd in picking which 'unfair home-cooking' offers to accept, selecting out those who are more greedy/delusional/unmotivated than smart. (And, no, I'm not going to lump anybody into one of those categories.)

If you pick a fight with a guy you think has no chance to hurt you and he wipes the floor with your bloody nose, it's your own fault; the little guy isn't required to wear a sign saying, "I can kick your bullying ass in a heartbeat. Honest." Especially since that'll make it even more likely some idiot's going to try and prove the sign wrong.

Plus, I've said it before: David Diaz is no bum. He took that fight seriously, trained hard, and tried absolutely every trick he could think of & a few that he couldn't. If Vic Drakulich doesn't stop you, then you're obviously still able to defend yourself and trying to win. My favorite ref and my favorite Diaz. ;)
