Nah . . . no credit. Valero is a 130 lber who hasn't even fought any top 5 fighters at super feather. If the fight happens it's just to satisfy people's curiosity to see what happens. People who are craving for this fight.

Only credit Pac will get is . . . him stopping the Valero HYPE and him taking an easy fight against a HIGH RISK low reward opponent.

I agree in every word you said. Believe it or not some pac pure haters will not even give credit to pac (if and when) pac beats hatton..

Hatton will be suddenly described as washed up if pac wins! that's for sure!!!!

Decent though a win over Soto should give him more. Pacquiao has a lot more to look for in that division, don't really understand why Hatton is the main target when you have guys like Casamayor, Marquez(yeah, again), Guzman, Katsidis, Babybull Diaz and others.

I want to ask you a serious question... I am just curious, why is it that most of the times (99%) you think that way? I mean, you always think that if somebody says something different to what you think then he's a hater by default. Please, I would like that you clarify that for me.

Nope. He doesn't get any credit unless it's a shutdown/destruction job. Valero isn't very good...and to me, this is nothing more than a potentially dangerous stay busy fight.

I dont get it either. Hatton has looked not-so-great in his last pair of fights, and a lot of people are thinking that his bloating in between fights is catching up with him. Besides for a great payday, I don't get why he wouldnt look to clean out all the big names at 135, which is the weight HE JUST MOVED TO and looks to fit in at pretty well. Plus a war with Hatton, who is the bigger man, could take 2-3 prime fights out of him for the cost of one. Its almost like they are looking to cash out on Pac with all the Hatton and DLH talk

Not much credit. Although if Valero went on to do bigger and better things after the fight with that style of his, then we would probably reconsider. Though I highly doubt it.

    I would prefer Soto

I'm addressing my reply for those people up know does not give credit to pac for whatever win he gets..

    for example.

    pac wins over mab

    first win..
they would say (pac haters) it was fluke!

    second win..
    mab was washed up!

    pac wins over morales
1st win - lucky win..something to that effect
2nd win - morales was obviously washed up

if pac decides to fight x fighter instead of y. pac is ducking y

if pac fights valero..pac is blah...blah!..blah!!!
if pac fights soto...pac is blah..blah!..blah!!!

I mean whatever pac does.. he is not good because....blah..blah..blah!

C'mon man! those guys NEVER run out Negative things to say about PAC! that's what I'm saying!

I pretty much agree with what you said. You might remember that there were a few polls about a potential fight between Pac and Valero... I think it was around the time (before/after) he fought Solis and also around the time that Pac fought Barrera the 2nd time and in both cases the jury came out with the same verdict..... the answer was (almost unanimous) that Valero was a nobody and didn't even deserve a shot at Pac, and that includes Pac hardcore as well as many other boxing fans.

Basically, nothing has changed, except that most people believe at the present that the gap (Pac is a better boxer now) between Pac and Valero is getting wider and wider, therefore is going to be difficult to make people to change their minds about this fight.

I think that if the fight becomes a really tough one for Pac he might end up getting more recognition, but this will depend on the type of boxing skills etc, etc, that Valero might show on figh night. In other words is more up to Valero than Pac. IF Valero shows that he isn't a nobody and people can see that, then a victory for Pac will get more credit, however, that is a big IF.

Thanks for your answer. Let me just make some comments regarding the issue.

1- There are some people that might say that, but that's a minority.

2- Everybody thinks different, and you have to expect different opinons.

3- Even the people that might disagree with you, they might have a disagreement themselves...at least in one point...it always happens.

4- Most people give credit to Pac for the Barrera victory and the first EM victory (Pac-EM II). The issue (I think) is mostly with the third fight. Let's say that EM (Pac-EM III) was almost shot at that time.... not in good conditions to fight elite fighters anymore, and let's say that he was pretty much on his way to being shot at the time of Pac-EM II. But Pac gets the credit. I think the problem is that his resume revolves around 3 fighters pretty much and that's what might end up being the key factor at the end.

5- Regarding the ducking, most people believe (at least serious posters) that Pac isn't the one ducking opponents.... most posters believe that Arum and Roach are avoiding some boxers to continue "milking the cow".

You don't have to agree with the points above, I just tried to explain to you what I think the majority of serious posters believe. Don't bother in answering or debating the points above, because basically we would be hijacking this thread.

So why does Pacquiao have to do everything? Why is he the only needs to face every single one of them. There's a thing called round robin match up or knockout match ups.

Pacquiao is no god, these pac haters needs to learn(again) that in boxing you only need to fight 1 on 1 not 1 versus 10++.

If Pacquaio was ducking anyone, then why are most of the SF fighters are following him to LW division? Pacquaio doesn't revolve around there world. Pacquiao makes his own world amigos.
