There is nothing more definitive than the KO on Pac. No need for a 5th fight. Pac could just console himself with the fact that he continued to be more popular than JMM and still considered to be a better fighter, at this point of their careers, base on accomplishments.

Pacquiao was dominating the fight and Marquez landed one sublime counter. There are certainly more definitive ways to get knock outs.

imo, this is jmm's chances of getting that welterweight belt:

vs. pac (5th fight) - maybe 80% chance. jmm been there, done that. he ko'ed pac and he can definitely do it again

vs. brook - maybe 40% chance. i'm afraid kell is just too big for jmm and has just enough skills to ward off jmm

vs. floyd (rematch) - 1% chance. floyd too skilled and too big for jmm

I won't really say it was a domination prior to the KO. Both had their moments. I just felt that JMM always has Pac's numbers as shown in their 3 previous fights, the KO further confirms that. There is really no shame in losing to to a great boxer like JMM. Its time to let it go. Other equally exciting fights can be had by each one of them against other fighters.

I think the probablity of JMM being able to outbox Mayweather is higher than him getting a fair decision vs Pacquiao.

People massively exaggerate JMM's ownership of Pacquiao. They also exaggerate the judging as if there is some vast conspiracy against JMM. Pacquiao has never gotten a unanimous court against JMM. His wins have been razor tight on points. There's no conspiracy against JMM losing a razor tight fight by one point on one card as he did in fight II.

"I thought he won all three of them!"

Since fight 4 ended by Pacquiao being KTFO, is there a known and respected non-hbo boxing columnist or ****yst who has ever said this about Pacquiao???
Numerous have said it about Marquez.

i totally disagree. jmm came very very close of getting a decision against pac (sd, md and a draw plus he ko'ed pac). he was close on 3 occasions so there's high probability he can get a decision on the next one

while against floyd, jmm was completely wiped out with an average score of 119-108 so imo, jmm outboxing floyd is a very remote possibility
