Pac is no Floyd Mayweather. He is giving away a ton of reach to a very tough opponent who can bang. Plus, Margo is no Ricky Hatton, coming forward leading with his face. His hands are up. Pretty good head movement. And when he does lean forward, that is to set up the left hand. I think this is a big mistake for Poochio.
In order for Pooch to give punishment, he will have take punishment. Just trying to get in range, he will be cathching. He is taylor made for Margo's uppercuts.
I believe Antonio Margarito to possess one of the best chins in Boxing today, even in light of his stoppage defeat to Mosley, but Manny Pacquiao could certainly force a stoppage. The Filipino will be landing an awful amount of punches on the Mexicans dome in the early stages, his handspeed is among the most impressive in world Boxing, and we've seen what he can do to top flight opposition with single shots. Neither Hatton or Cotto could really take the fire power, and although Margarito is bigger and tougher than both those particular combatants, I see him getting hit a damn sight more than they did. I wouldn't favor it too happen, but I believe it to be a possible outcome. Mosley forced the stoppage because he was hitting Margarito at will. Pacquiao has faster hands, and comparable power at Welterweight.
i can't see pac knocking out margo.. the size difference is huge and margo has very good chin. pac will have to picks his shots and move in and out.
No i dont think so. People can feel free to bring this back up if Pac demolishes Marg, but i dont think Marg gets a count whatsover in this fight.... and ill be suprised if hes seriously hurt. Granted, his chin could simply be done for.... but i think he has enough left to go the distance.
no, the shots that were bothering margarito the most against Mosley were the overhand rights and he kept eating them all night. Pac is at such a size disadvantage that he cant reach margo to throw an overhand shot. I think the fight will look like the first 6 rounds of Margo/Cotto only it will be for 12 rounds, Pac will keep moving and wont stay against the ropes at all.
No. Mark my words this fight will go to the cards. No doubt about it. Pac won't clinch like Shane did, he ain't strong enough. Shane had a perfect game plan and executed it perfectly.
