does Pacquiao need to take a leaf out of Mayweather's book?

C'mon he only fights twice a year. He's not the type that can take 2 years off and come back the same. Plus with his extra curricular activities, who knows what would happen.

 

As Slip said, if he can't take 2 fights a year that's his problem. I've got no sympathy for him, put another big lump in front of him and he'll batter him.

 

He's a professional at top of his chosen sport, He's not had a massive schedule this year and struggled. The two guys he fought chose not to stand in front of him and he found it hard. You can't play at this game for all Mayweather's talk he trains extremely hard, Plus picks great opponents for himself which helps. Manny's last opponent was a guy his own trainer didn't want him to face.

 

nothing wrong at all with pac, IMO he beat Marquez. Only trouble was that Pac was a bit more negative, hes at his best when hes running & gunning, get dragged into a borefest with Marquez will always make you look bad.

Agree with this, although I had it level. The problem is that he didn't look great against a negative Mosley either but people are being way too hard on him though.

It's one of those things where because of spectacular performances against de la Hoya, Hatton and Cotto, people then go ridiculously over the top about him being some kind of superman that must be on drugs. Then when he can't stop Clottey, Margarito and Mosley he must be shot. The world is very fickle.

 

Mosley's got a good chin and enough of his skills left to avoid a serious beat down. I remember a lot of people said Pac had "lost it" after he spent the Barrera rematch playing tag with the Mexican legend and scraping by against Marquez.

Then he thrashed David Diaz into a bloody lump and everyone was "PACS A BEAST LOLZ" again. Never mind once he battered Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito comprehensively.

Never write the guy off - just when you think it will be easy for him, he makes it hard. And when you think he's slipping...
